As bad as we are it's kind of been glossed over how many players are missing.

You look at the starting XI today and there's really no solid reason to be confident of a win.

That's not to say we had to lose either of course.

Why so many are missing is the big question.
Completely agree. No idea why people seem to think we should be as good with most of our starters missing. Also thought that after pool best is four nil recently, there wasn't a single mention of the fact that half of our starters were missing that day as well.

Why we always have some many missing or injured is another issue for ETH to resolve.

No one on the Caf knows, unless one of the players comes out and names the issues (which isn’t going to happen) then we’ll not know until someone writes and book and exposes the bad eggs.
The blame starts with the owners and works it’s way down. Thankfully they’re taken action and got rid of Ed and made lots of changes and signed a top class coach. Now they need to give Ten Hag god status at the club and allow him to direct where we go from here.
Did they do it of their own accord though? If it wasn't for the failed ESL would he have been given the boot at all? Yeah I know he 'quit' but I reckon he was told to eff off so the Glazers could save face. Happy coincidence nonetheless

Just need to sort a few squad issues for next year and we'll be competing for trophies again:
  • Players lack strength
  • Players lack speed and quickness
  • Players lack fitness/conditioning
  • Players lack football intelligence
  • Don't play the ball quick enough
  • No movement off the ball
  • Poor first touch
  • Can't finish
  • Can't create chances
  • Can't defend
  • Can't control the ball
  • Can't pass
  • Not mentally tough enough
  • Slow to react
  • Very prone to poor positioning
  • Bad at set pieces
  • Bad at defending set pieces
  • Can't press
  • Can't play out of the back
  • Can't tackle
  • No team chemistry
  • Injury prone
  • No leadership/lack of character
  • Do not play with enough width
  • Tend to get dominated in the middle of the park
  • Starting XI lacks quality
  • No squad depth
  • Keeper can't play with his feet
  • Keeper not aggressive enough coming out
  • Can't play a high line
  • They don't seem to play any sort of system
  • No urgency even when down
  • Tend to lose focus
  • Don't seem to care

The rest of the league is trash. It's our worst PL season by a mile and the chasing pack outside the "big 6" still can't take advantage. An embarrassing endorsement for the so-called best league in the world

Thankfully that's the last we'll see of Ralf in the dugout, and hopefully a large portion of these players.

Will there be a 2021/22 season review DVD release?

They should let Ralf narrate it and allow him to let rip on this squad of sh*te.

They would shift millions of copies.
Do they even do season reviews anymore?

Plus with Sky putting three minute highlights of every match this season, and BT doing the same with European games, you’d be a fool to buy a DVD.

Just go on YouTube, create a playlist and boom you’ve saved like £15.

Ralf has been a crap coach but I don’t mind him going upstairs given that’s where his expertise is and the fact he’s been the manager will at least mean he’s fully aware they’re all shite and plenty needs to change.

Everyone scored on the final day except us and Norwich...
I was going to mention that, plus, our goal difference was 0 whilst Liverpool's was 67 & City's was 73 without Haaland.

Good job WHU didn't win.

I wonder how many times the director switched to ETH in the stands?

So, now it is all eyes on the transfer market for the next 3 months, who will come in & who will leave, time will tell & most importantly, can next season be any worse than this one?

Conor Gallagher, an army of one, showed more spirit and hunger than anything seen at United this season.

His fall is as stunning as Maguire's this season. I don't get it. Hopefully ETH can solve it.
That's the result of a toxic dressing room. Bruno is undoubtedly a quality player but if half of the team (or whatever percentage) doesn't give a damn, then that can toxic environment can bring you down as well.

Worst manager at United so far?
You can have Pep or Klopp be the manager of these bunch of clowns and it will still suck. Everybody but De Gea and Ronaldo needs to be kicked out. Unfortunately we can't do quite that.

Bruno passing to Zaha, and then complete blunder from both Dalot and Lindelof... How can you keep any of these idiots. So embarassing

Flipped back and forth between City and Liverpool games and the Burnley and Leeds games, first time in my life I didn't bother watching United play and I have supported United for almost 60 years.

I have a feeling that very little will change. I still see McFred starting and stinking up the midfield.
All fans know that when McFred play, they lose every midfield battle to the opposition (no matter how mediocre the opposition are). Despite this multiple managers (who do know a thing or two about football) persist with them. I can ETH doing the same.

It's really depressing to see how bad we are now with seemingly no end in sight. Some of you are expecting ETH to perform miracles and I don't see this as realistic.

ETH has no track record of working with big players with big egos in a big club. To expect him to come in and wave a magic wand is very unrealistic.
Even Guardiola would have a major struggle with this current batch of players and he has worked in big clubs, with big players and egos.
ETH's track record is exactly what worries me too. The same goes for Poch. It's why Enrique was my top choice and why I'd have accepted Simeone if absolutely necessary, both have records of success. I know Simeone is hated here (not a huge fan myself) but he broke the Barca/Real domination more than once. Now who does that remind you of?

I think the job will prove too much for ETH in the end but I'm hoping he can do some sort of job so that we can at least challenge properly for top four, stop losing stupid games and set us on the path to making a comeback, and play some decent football along the way. People forget that Pep didn't do all the foot work at City. Mancini put them on the right path (can't help wondering what he might have done at United)

Bruno is arguably one of our most toxic players.
Constantly berating teammates on the field (even when he is the one that fecks up) while seemingly having carte blanche to waste the ball repeatedly and failing to execute the simplest of passes without any consequences. At this point he is a advantage to the opposition. And the other players know it.

I have been watching a few of the Forest games recently to see what the excitement is around Garner. Obviously they trust him enough to take most of their free-kicks and corners and I suppose he's tidy enough in mid-field.
I think I was hoping to see something of the calibre of Gallagher - that's what you would want to see in a loanee! Without him CP are not the same team.
He is being overhyped out of pure desperation to see an end to McFred. I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t go on loan to a low tier prem club next year to continue his progress. I really can’t see him anywhere near the first team and that’s not disrespecting him, more that you are United and can do better than him currently.

That makes sense to me. Excited to see him work under ETH.

absolutely perfect way to end the season. Get the overall result of Europa thanks to west ham bottling it, while at the same time not having any of our trash randomly turning up for one game trying to convince ETH they are good enough. He got to see the full trash on display

No Rashford to blame in the last two matches.

Message to Rashford and United players. New head coach. Zero and refresh your mind and start the pre season with a more positive and hunger mentality.

He's a long, long way off our first team.

Loan next season for him.
I don't agree. He wasn't involved as much as I would have hoped, but he isn't a left winger! Even so I thought he was one of the few who actually cared and wanted to get involved.

Gallagher is nothing special. He's a throwback to the all action type of midfielder people cream themselves other, but he doesn't really excel at one thing. He wouldn't improve our midfield as much as you think.
Can he successfully complete forward passes to teammates? Then he would be an instant upgrade.

He and Will Hughes completely dominated McFred. I almost felt bad for Scott I think at the start of the second half when Gallagher was putting him under pressure high up the pitch, and he dispossessed him or blocked his attempted pass multiple times in a row. It was just embarrassing.

Oh and it wasn't really that much of an improvement, it was going from completely fecking embarrassing to just normal levels of embarrassing, but I thought we were slightly better when Mata was out there. He probably couldn't keep it up for very long but he was buzzing around and getting involved all over the pitch.

Just watched.

- I'll never understand why we sold Zaha instead of loaning him out. He, along with Gallagher, were easily the best players on the pitch

- McT is embarrassing with his poor play and dirty fouls

- We actually played decent for a few spells, but our midfield made it so we couldn't keep it up

- I hope ten Hag is the real deal
