I will be amazed if we sign a wide player given the players that are still at the club.

I think Custis reported Lukaku going to United first, when everyone was saying Lukaku was going to Chelsea back in 2017.

So he does get a legit scoop once in a while.

Maybe he has an exclusive, maybe he's just a chancer. A Brazilian journalist did say last week that a deal for Antony was only a matter of time.

40M seems fair enough for a boom or bust forward from the Eredivisie with a goal/assist tally that isn’t anything to write home about. Don’t think we’d be in for him at any higher of a price.

I'd like to be an optimist, I really would, but Custis is absolute hot garbage with United news.

Interesting. Custis must have a reasonably good bit of info, I imagine he's front running it a bit to get the exclusive, so will wait for someone else a bit more reliable to follow up on this.

Yes, we need a left footballer RW. Great teams always have a left footed RW, Greenwood was doing well before his arrest. I actually prefer signing Antony first. I hope we get RW and CM sorted out first. Lastly, a young upcoming striker.

Verweij saying it would take an offer to good to refuse for Antony
exactly and this isn't an offer to good to refuse.
Verweij is as tier 1 as tier 1 can be for Ajax.

I’m not one of those who subscribes to this assertion that established journalists simply ‘make things up’. Who knows what will ultimately happen, but there’s clearly a reason for such a statement like this.

'closing in on' isn't exactly going balls out.

Seems like just the back page fillers unfortunately.

Imagine! A left-footed right-winger at last!!
Scholars maintain that Amad is still glued to a bench in Glasgow.
No chance for that price. But would be a good signing if it happens
€50m seems fair for someone who has 8G+4A in Eredivisie last season. They're getting Bergwijn for half that price and still have Berghuis who can move back to the right.

He also said United officials will be in Amsterdam tomorrow to conclude. They will either be there or they won’t really.

Considering we’ve heard from the horses mouth that we are in Barca negotiating for FDJ either we’ve finished up there one way or another or this is BS

true, that part does sound more definitive.

I guess we will see but i’d be 90% confident we won’t hear anything about it tomorrow.

I have no such percentage I have confidence in, high or low, because what do I know? Majority of what happens in every window I’ve lived through are things I wouldn’t have called until they happened.

Wasn't Custis hired by woody as a consultant for a while? or am I confusing him with someone else?

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
What position does Amad and Pellistri play in?
What position did Sancho perform well in during his time at Dortmund?
Do you know what literally means?
We have two young RW that won't be starters simply because they're not ready. So we don't really have a RW, because all the other wide players we do have all operate better on the left.

RW was the must buy position for us a year ago and we signed Sancho, who it turned out looked far more dangerous in the left. Not only that but people that watched Dortmund regularly also said he was better on the left.

We still need to fill that position. Amad and Pellistri will more than likely go out on loan again and we won't have a natural RW in our squad.

But, it's Custis and the Sun. Let's wait on a reliable source
I’m not a tier man and beyond the chancers who are not actual journalists - I couldn’t tell you where each journo ranks. I’m happy to see what happens, I haven’t declared reliability either way. What I did say though, is that I don’t buy the notion that established journalists, the type that follow a major club around the world every week for years, simply ‘makes things up’.

Well I dispute that Sancho looks dangerous for us in any position from what I have seen so far in a Utd shirt.
Like I said, I will be amazed if we sign a wide player without Erik having a good look at what is already at the club as there are at least three other positions which he would address beforehand.
