So did your "Drogba II", oh wait he hated the moment he signed and wanted to go back, after all his "Childhood dreamclub"
Yes he failed and he is not our legend and a flop but Ronaldo legend highest goal scorer for you yet want to go away speaks volume. Let's stop this atleast now.

While your captain wants out, your best CB left on free transfer, your record signing took dump on the club moment he arrived at the club.

Player you targeted for more than a year isn't signed, player for whom fee is agreed didn't move an inch towards Chelsea, one player asked Chelsea not to bother as he isn't interested, your Legend couldn't wait to get out of the club once the ownership changed. But it's all fine though because Ronaldo, De Jong

Not quite sure either club can gloat and yes losing Rudiger hurts , Lukaku should hurt but it isn’t, Christensen never fulfilled his potential but as I said yesterday you have lost 6 experienced players from your squad that’s before we look at what happens in the next 57 days.

We lost 6 players who didn't worth their wages, except Pogba (I know many won't agree with that name).

I know both clubs are not in position to gloat, it's just tit for tat shit posting, nothing much.

I prefer player quotes directly than any Barca based journo s rumour. De Jong said he wanted to stay. Raphinha said his dream club is Barca and prefered to move there before chelsea entered race.

But he didn't say anywhere he don't want chelsea either. It's certainly not bad compared to you and your de Jong position that he wanted to stay at Barca after you bid for him.
I’m not sure what’s funny if I’m honest?

Impossible to have a discussion about Chelsea without United getting dragged in to it.

Weird.
Your Mom!!
It was a nice civil conversation. Maguire has not been mentioned yet, so the cheese is still somewhat on the cracker.

I know right! Shame. I know it’s the Chelsea thread but surely no one wants it to be an echo chamber and the reason you are all on the site is to listen to and understand the views of predominantly United fans.

What's the CB situation? Two out the door and Silva another year older so it looks like you might need a couple? Or do you think Tuchel will try and revert to a back four?
Ake + 1 it'll be. Talk from Matt Law says TT wants Ake, plus another 2 defensive players. And then focus on other areas. So perhaps a wingback being eyed up aswell, given the Cornet rumours.

Who the +1 will be, is anyones guess. de Ligt seemingly off to Bayern. Koulibaly is just a tiresome rumour at this stage, every single window he is linked with leaving Napoli, never does. I ignore all the stories re. him as they tend to be BS. Gvardiol unsure on him, and how much they'd want.
Total guess on my part says it'll be Kounde. Or Kimpembe. Pau Torres linked aswell, but I can see him at City when/if they sell Ake to us.

Only roughly 6-7 weeks of the window left isnt there? That's not an awful lot of time when you consider how slow some clubs have been already... mine included.

The window opened on 10th June and closes at 23:59 on 1st September so there's 8 weeks left.

We're 4 weeks into a 12 week window. Plenty of time.

Two teams lost most of the players among top 6 teams from last season and those two teams performed worse than all top 6 teams in transfer market.

It's understandable both went through lots of changes. Have to wait till transfer window closes to judge them in my opinion.

Kante and RLC not travelling to the US for our tour because they won't take a Covid vaccine.

That's gotta piss the manager off, right? Or am I being a judgemental prick like usual?

Yeah I think that’s pretty poor on their part. Any reason why they won’t have it?

Yikes. That’s really disappointing especially for Kante.

And yes, if I was Tuchel I’d be pissed.

The thought of buy Ake for 45 million is making me sick..
He just isn't very good. Slow, can't make decisions not very tall etc etc.. Not played in one big game for city.

Why are the US still insisting on making people take the vaccination

Good for them, no athlete should be forced to take anything that hasn't undergone full double blind clinical trials with a multi year study timeline.

This was just normal prior to 2020.

Hundreds of millions of people have taken the COVID vaccine with no ill effects. Including all of their teammates.

If you don’t think the vaccine is safe you‘re a fecking moron or conspiracy theorist.

Um, is this satirical? The COVID vaccine is up there with the most extensively studied medical interventions in human history.

Cute buzzwords on the bit about trials though.

Surprised Chelsea are re-signing Ake. He's shown at Man. City he's not really good enough to be CL level starter. Sort who'd do fine at West Ham or Leicester standard club.

I assume he's more of a replacement for Christensen than Rudiger.

He's very flexible, left footed and is an academy graduate. By most accounts, he's Tuchel's pick as well. I'm all for signing him.

The thing I don’t get about the move is that he’s not a standout player in any particular attribute. He’s not particularly quick, isn‘t a big, intimidating physical presence, not a ball player or distributor.

He’s just kind of…okay. As you say, he’s a player who would be starting for a midtable team rather than one with title and CL trophy ambitions like us.

Pretty hard to do any studying without a placebo group.

Hence double blind trials, there are standards for how things were meant to work. Which just got casually binned in 2020. Next round is being planned for over 65 only, in the UK anyway.

Pretty hard to argue with players saying they'd rather stay with how things worked before 2020.

These guys in the squad say they'd rather not. Good for them. It's indefensible to force them.

Not the thread for this.

Is Colwill likely to feature? Or will he follow Tomori and Guehi in being clearly talented enough to play for the club but for some reason ends up elsewhere?

He's on the US tour and, given our options, will certainly play a fair bit.

Once Ake and 1 other defender comes in he'd probably be 5th choice behind them, Silva and Chalobah so I would imagine a premier league loan might be best for him but who knows.

To answer the question about reason for Covid vaccine, it is only there for air travel because of the air circulation on flights. You can enter and stay in the country by other means without vaccination.

Tbh who ever expected Chalobah to make the team last season, Colwill has the best chance any youth has ever had to make it. If he is as good as they say, he will follow James and go from Championship to first team.

In asking this question, did you not run through the possible answers in your head? The list is not long. Their very very obvious reasoning will be the infinitesimal number of deaths of super fit young people like themselves from this virus set against the pretty widespread fear of the odd, potentially serious side effects of a rookie vaccine. I mean ffs, come on. You give the op an opportunity to call everyone who hasn't had the vaccine an idiot but otherwise what's your anti-Chelsea angle?
PS I love you @TheReligion!

Are you intentionally implying that there aren‘t any odd, potentially serious sideeffects with a wild infection?

Edit: just noticed a hidden message, now not sure anymore if it was a trap all along.

No one is not implying "that there aren‘t any odd, potentially serious sideeffects with a wild infection? Edit: just noticed a hidden message, now not sure anymore if it was a trap all along."
One is stating clearly and without need for de court substerstating that it's fair to think feck that I'm not taking this vaccine.

I agree. I hope I’m wrong, but I didn’t think much of him when he was with us, and I haven’t seen anything different since then.
