I will bet my left nut this fecker doesn’t sign for Man United. I’m as certain of this as 95% of you are certain that he will sign.

Don’t know why exactly, just feel it in my bones. Of course I’m going to look like a prick if he does sign and my right nut will be very lonely but I’m sticking with it.
Whilst on the subject of odds/statistics; I am almost 100% certain that 100% of the folks here would not care if you lost your left nut or even the right. Maybe both even.
And I am sticking by it.

Don't think they can get relegated. As far as I understand they won't be able to register new players. Hence all the new players they are signing will ineligible to play in La Liga as long as he stays. If I was him I'd stay put until they've paid everything that they owe him.
That's the most sensible thing for FJD to do.

Most loathsome and self-entitled/self-aggrandizing fanbase on the planet and it's not even close. Real fans are something and so are the Scousers but cules are a special breed of noxious cnuts ever since the Uefalona days. They masquerade as some holier than thou sacred institution while being even more corrupt and morally bankrupt than the fecking oil sugar daddy clubs.

Deceitful club and cretinous fanbase
As a United fan, I dislike Barcelona much more than Liverpool and City.. that's say a lot about Barcelona.

Patience is the key here folks! Barca is hoping we stump up the money for Frenkie, they have to get rid of him now they signed Raphina and Levva, they can't register either without shipping de Jong. De Jong playing hardball over wages, and rightly so, I wouldn't believe this stance of not wanting to leave! He is only saying this to get his money! He and United have the biggest leverage and if he says he want to come to United he loses all leverage for his wages, relax and sit back this is in the bag for me! Don't listen to Romano he is the Barcelona mouth piece in all of this!

We should have moved on so long ago. I don't care what the supposedly more patient posters think, it is honestly quite sad that we are willing to jeopardize our season on a player who is praying he doesn't have to come here. The money we are willing to spend on him would have gotten us a couple of players who would fight for the team and manager, while being an improvement to mcfred (which we all know isn't hard). I'm still hopeful of what ETH can do for us, but this obsession is got him starting off by leaving a bit of a sour taste.

But we'll see how it goes, at this point I really can't see him coming to United. Barca are not desperate and he has all the cards in his hands...
Seems like without FDJ, Ten Hag's grand master plan will fail for sure...

How long do we wait this out though, presume you meant Romero not Romano

Also a bullshitter isn't he
No, he is not. Look closely at his profile photo.

He has his mobile by his ear. A true sign of a legit journo.

You just need to look at the transfer news king:

Only legit journos have the balls to have a profile photo with mobiles -- its the secret handshake symbol of all true transfer news journos.

You are learning something new everyday Berba.

What will it take for him to see this isn't the same club he dreamed about playing for but a financial shitshow
He is not stupid or blind. But if you got tricked out if of a lot of money (apparently £17m), you're not just going to let that happen. I am sure he wants to join United and has accepted he's eventually leaving, but only after this wage thing gets resolved. That's my take on it anyway. If I was him I'd feel that way anyway.

Does the 17 million in deferred wages that Barca ows Frenkie count towards La Liga ffp salary rules? If it does, and they count it as wages paid in 2022/23, it would explain some of Barcas reluctance to pay them (besides being total fecking cnuts).

So Frenkie can‘t say we wants to leave without losing 17 mill in salary.

Not really, but if your plan B is Neves and a DM or Tielemans and a DM, they are both significant downgrades on FdJ, despite what the cafe will tell you. Plus Neves and a DM will cost signiifcantly more than FdJ.

Thats the big question. May be the problem why its taking so long. But if Im Frenkie I say its Barcas problem.

I am no lawyer, however I'd think there are ways around it. Frenkie could sign a new deal with a clause in it that he receives 20% of a transfer fee. Then Barca sells him to United for 85m and what do you know, Frenkie receives 17m euro's. There may be some things to that, like maybe receiving a fee like this might come with other tax obligations than receiving it as wages. But thats up to the lawyers. Change the numbers a bit and I'd think you could make something like this work.

I have much more respect for those 2 despite despite being domestic and blood rivals then the Catalan cnuts.

It's crazy because they used to be a likeable counterweight to Madrid in Spain historically who played good football and were ran the right way but they've become a bastardized version of that with none of the charm or class as they've grown into a behemoth over the last 15+ years.

Used to root for them in Spain during the Rijkaard and Ronaldinho years but they've become absolutely vile as a club nowadays. I root against them more than loathsome clubs like P$G and Chelsea

We dont really know that. With the additional levers, they might be able to register also FdJ so they have bargaining power

Honest to God after reading Duckers most recent tweet Im out. This is probably the most bolloxy transfer we've ever got involved in, so, Im out.

Will come back to check out the thousand page meltdown for sure.

Honestly have to admire Barcelona. They've been mediocre for 3 years and that was enough for them, they've fixed most of their squad issues and are now favorites to win la liga and head deep into the UCL. We aren't even half as proactive even after our worst season in 30 years. That's ambition and I really like it. Yeah they've sold parts of their club to achieve it but um we've sold all of our club to American leeches so I can't really mock them, it's not like we're fan owned.

I'm confident De Jong will sign and we'll probably the ones that will foot the bill for his deferred wages. If that happens I'll respect them even more. Like how can you not? That's a great hustle.

Cool. I’ll tell Richard Arnold to change the plan.

If Frankie doesn't move and Barca are in trouble, do we want any of the players they can't register? Probably at a massive discount.

Now that Barca has committed to all these players, our leverage has increased & I wouldn't offer more than €65M to Barca. Offer FDJ higher wages instead and give them a firm deadline.

Everyone's acting like FDJ is the best midfielder in the world. He's not, he's decent but hasn't fully established himself at Barca, a league & team that arguably best fits his playstyle. Yet Barca are desperate to sell him which should tell us something. Unpopular opinion, but Neves could be the better fit for what we need next to Fred. The grit, the passing, the defensive intensity.

I agree that we now have the leverage. Can't wait to see which of the new signings they look to hoodwink next. Probably hoping to sell Dembele with his 100m Euros buy-out clause now.

Who wants to take that bet?

I'm fairly confident he will end up signing, but there's no upside in taking the bet for me. What am I going to do with some naysayers shrivelled bollock?

I think we are also getting more desperate at the same time too as time is running out for us to find another good replacement. Everyone knows our midfield is shite and we badly need new midfielders for our rebuild. So I could imagine we will add a little more "incentives" to make this happen.

The hard facts is that neither team are willing to back down on this one, so hard to see a resolution to make this deal happen

I just hope the club is sounding out alternatives because I am getting very annoyed with this whole transfer. We are doing absolutely everything we can to sign this guy and he's not even interested. What a joke. We absolutely cannot go into this new season without a minimum of two CMs/DMs signed and time is not slowing down.

At this stage yes, but at some point during the transfer window, when its approaching to closing date, either one or both sides would give in something, that's for sure.

Neves also wants to go to Barca if a transfer happens.
