Sure they're not going to starve, and it's historically a great club, but still… how much do they owe Pique? £50 million?

As Adnan stated here, the info is likely to be coming from Llorens and Marsden. I'm not surprised by this, though; we know well enough that Frenkie prefers to play for a Champions League club if he can't play for Barcelona, though that doesn't necessarily rule us out.

It's a weird one. Logic suggests they have to sell him even if it means caving in and paying him his deferred salary. Logic suggests he would leave in that situation. But none of us is expert enough to know that for sure. They seem to be playing chicken with each other so it could just end in a huge car crash.

Now they are all but announcing lewa and b. silva looks done too. The lever situation tells us that shouldn’t be possible until at least the second lever is pulled.

Don't think they can get relegated. As far as I understand they won't be able to register new players. Hence all the new players they are signing will ineligible to play in La Liga as long as he stays. If I was him I'd stay put until they've paid everything that they owe him.

We should have moved on so long ago. I don't care what the supposedly more patient posters think, it is honestly quite sad that we are willing to jeopardize our season on a player who is praying he doesn't have to come here. The money we are willing to spend on him would have gotten us a couple of players who would fight for the team and manager, while being an improvement to mcfred (which we all know isn't hard). I'm still hopeful of what ETH can do for us, but this obsession is got him starting off by leaving a bit of a sour taste.

We ARE a europa league caliber club right now, de Jong is this summer’s big transfer target for us and obviously DOES prefer to stay at Barca in his version of a perfect world, Ronaldo did boycott us by telling us he wants out and not join our preseason due to ‘family issues’ and we haven’t won the league for a decade.
