Against most teams:
De Gea
Shaw
Martinez
Varane (if he’s injured then…Maguire…sigh).
Dalot
Zidane
McTominay
Fernandes
Rashford
Martial
Sancho
I chose McTominay over Fred because people forget we need some sort of height presence in there, someone to win those rival goalie’s kicks or long balls from their defenders, and well “weaker” teams are more likely to hoof it.
I chose Zidane because he’s absolutely fecking brilliant and excites me more than any signing we’ve made or could possibly make in this market.
Seems good enough to me, so that means he’s old enough.
Subs:
Heaton, Bailly, Lindelof, Malacia, Fred, Eriksen, Savage/Garner, Pellistri/Elanga, Ronaldo
Bench may not look great at first but there are several game changers here, Eriksen being a great passer as well as a set piece specialist, Pellistri who is of unknown quality at PL level but can provide width and pace, obviously Ronaldo, and lets not forget Eric “Beckenbauer” Bailly.
Against top teams:
De Gea
Shaw
Martinez
Varane
Dalot
Fred
McTominay/Garner
Eriksen/Zidane
Fernandes
Rashford/Martial
Sancho
Would like to see Fernandes playing on the left in the “Pogba” role against strong teams and some away games, the role that Pogba played some of his better football for us under Ole.
