Awful news for us.

I think it’s awful news for everyone. Ten Hag has a striker who doesn’t suit his style of play and wants to leave, Ronaldo is right at the end of his career and obviously wanted one last shot at glory which he is not going get here which will be a rebuilding project.

Hopefully both sides make the best of it. As Ten Hag doesn’t really have any proven strikers if Ronaldo leaves and no budget or good targets on the Market, and Ronaldo isn’t going to get a better offer that staying with us.

So both sides going to have to compromise but how that pans out is anyones guess.

United have actually done him a massive favour by putting out the not for sale line. Imagine the club had publicly admitted it was open to selling? It would look even worse for Ronaldo that United put him up for sale and none of the clubs he fancied going to fancied going for him.

Yep. People said him flirting with City earlier on in the season was a way to force us into action (I don't think it is, I think he genuinely wanted to go there). I think he's pulling the same trick with RM / Atleti.

It has definitely help Ronaldo's narrative from "nobody wants me" to "Man Utd won't let me go".

But it doesn't takes much to know that in the interior of the squad Ronaldo's attitude won't be well taken. Specially from Ten Hag, it wouldn't surprise me that Ten Hag sees Ronaldo as a part time player rather than an absolute starter, and we all know Ronaldo is not the kind of player who will take this in a good way.

He either leaves this window or we'll be seeing a lot of games missed for Ronaldo for "personal issues" "small injuries" "special permissions" etc

Clearly Mendes told Ronnie he could ge thim out to a CL team, Ronnie said go for it, and Mendes is going to fail. It'll be fine, because Mendes and Ronaldo are besties, but it has definitely screwed United's plans up.

It’s just a possibility. The fact is his wages are a major blockade to the majority of squads, especially out of the Champions League.

Utd should be all over that. I think the kid is gonna be really good. With or without Ronaldo that's a player we should have been after. You are selling to West Ham for 35 million, would have been 45-50 for us but I think we should have gone for him.
