When Ducker provides his own opinion on the transfer you and others then slate the guy and tag him as being a forum spy

It's just daft.
Duckers sources inform him that United have reassurances that de Jong is interested.

Duckers own opinion, is exactly that, an unsourced opinion.

He’s tier 1 for sources, if he did an opinion piece now saying he thinks United should turn to Kante if de Jong fails, it means feck all, it’s just noise.

What utter waffle is this?

So his sources give him info about the deal, but his opinion isn't based on this information?

Give your head a wobble.

Busquets and Pedri are basically nailed on starters. He's fighting with Kessie, Nico and Pjanic for one spot. Kessie plays in the position better too.
Do you seriously think Nico González, Pjanic or Kessie would play before De Jong? It will amaze me if they did.

Maybe if Barca is trying to push De Jong to the door, but in terms of quality there's a huge gap between them.

Barca are trying to get him put because they can't pay his wages. Do you honestly think they're going to give him the impression that he's wanted and needed at the club?

As others have said they can't freeze him out as that'll be constructive dismissal and Barca will be fecked. They can play him sparingly and just argue they had better players they wanted to use.
Yes they can do that, but that would mean it's a lose-lose situation for Barca.

They'll still end up paying the wages without having the quality. They would be forced to sell him and De Jong's card would be depreciated.

I don't think Barca are as stupid to go that far, they would definitely let him go before getting to that point.

Your point still stands, but there's also Gavi. Central midfield is the only position where they are very well stacked in and can afford to lose a player of de Jong's quality.

It's like spending all day convincing everyone there isn't a blue dinosaur down the road. If you're convinced, move on...
Do you say the same to Berba jumping on every other poster forcing his opinion on them it'll happen?

That's how a forum works bud.

The reason this is still on is that United haven't said it isn't. Frenkie came back from holiday. United's bosses went to talk to Barca's bosses. A big fee was agreed. Frenkie went on tour with his employing club, as you would expect. Nothing else concrete has happened.

The thread stays open!
:drool::drool::drool:

The show goes on... let the fun times continue to roll.

Thats the problem though, we were expecting this to happen. When he goes on tour the updates would slow or even stop. Its just how it goes. If the lever money comes in and Barca decide enough is enough, they'll pay up, Frenkie will leave and the thread is done.

Simples... although it really wont be that simlle will it

My views are balanced and considered. If there was actually bad news I have no problem with accepting it.

It's only a transfer, it's not that deep.

I do wonder why those who are convinced it won't happen like to stay around and try to convince others that it won't happen as if they know for certain.

Just let those who believe it'll happen get on with it. If someone believes so strongly that he won't come, then fine, state that and move on.

Same with those who are convinced it'll happen, no point arguing with others who are negative and trying to change their minds, just enjoy the banter and hope for good news.

There's really no point complaining, if people don't like the thread, ignore it and move on

My thinking exactly.

I'm here because I'm enjoying the transfer and the conversation that comes with it. The will he won't he stuff... if we brief that it's off, so be it, I'll still have enjoyed my time here.

I'll put across views I believe but never expect anyone to not challenge them

Yes they do have Pedri and Gavi who are great that's why they're willing to let Frenkie go. But I just don't see him being a rotation option, if he's stays he'll be starting. He's still a level above Gavi at least.

Like I said in a previous post, sure Barcelona could twist his arm by benching him but that would end up being worse for them.

I think they'll finally come to an agreement, but the clock is on Frenkie's side.

Same here, it's all fun. It's the big transfer of the window.

But he's earning much, much more and his wage doesn't justify his level of performance.

He believes the transfer will happen. He's naturally going to continue talking about it as he has a vested interest. He's not trying to convince anyone.

You believe it ain't going to happen. You've stated the same thing multiple times. There's not much else to add.

I completely agree.

I'm not interested in the Ronaldo BS because as per its all about Ronaldo and I just can't find any motivation to chat much in there. I don't care if he stays or goes

For me, Ronaldo is detrimental to the team and how ETH wants the team to play. That's for another thread though.

Because in life there are some miserable sods who look at everything negatively and want everyone else to be as negative as them.
