What are the leading Barcelona forums? I'd like to see what they're saying about the shitbag treatment their beloved club is giving Frenkie.

So, the 1000 security parameter has been breached but still no sign of De Jong yet. The guy is invinsible.

If he took pay cuts, not once, but twice.. Willing to play CB, willing to be shafted to this extend, dude probably really really love barca. Maybe we all should just move on.

Whichever way it happened, what bothers me most of all is how Barcelona are abusing the pandemic for their gain. Or more accurately, the goodwill of a player during a pandemic.

It’s disgusting, almost comparable to Amber Heard levels of money pledging. It’s like collecting money for a charity but then trying to weasel your way out of paying it.

I really hope that Barcelona end up paying the price for this kind of behaviour. But looking at the way players still don’t mind signing for them, I feel like they’ll wiggle their way out and the fanboys and girls will continue as if nothing ever happened.

Sorry for derailing the thread; getting back on topic:

50.000 total thread posts by the end of today...gogogo!!!
Of all the aspects of Barca's situation and the De Jong saga, this part is the most baffling to me. Surely players should be concerned that the same thing could happen to them? If I was a top player right now and my agent recommended I sign for Barca, I'd fire them for demonstrating poor judgement.

You are asking Frenkie to forgo his deferred wages and cut his salary for the next four years, while simultaneously signing big players on fat contracts. This after he helped you through the pandemic by deferring most of his wages for two years.

Meanwhile you‘re 1.3 billion in debt. I used to like Barcelona, but now it is a shameless pathetic delusional idiotic goatfecking mess of a club.
That's the crux of the situation.

This is where Barca lost their high moral ground --- Asking players based on emotional grounds to take a pay cut whilst bringing in high transfer/wage players.

Levers etc doesn't bother me that much. Creative accounting though I think they are selling themselves way, way short -- selling 25% of their next 25years TV rights for $540million now when they were getting around $140million annually in the past. Poor management/mismanagement of the past is one thing but now to continue the same sloppiness?

Surely they could have got a better deal? Unless there is something corrupt going on behind the scenes.

Funnily enough any person with genuine care for Frenkie would advise HIM to move on from Barca with all that given. It's a toxic employer - employee situation

Like expecting your ex to come back to you because she confided that she's not sure about her current partner who borrowed a ton of money and is refusing to pay it back, openly sleeping with several other girls and courting with new ones in her face, while also saying they can still go out here and there to McDonald's for some fries.
Fixed that for you to more accurately reflect the reality of Frenkie getting publicly cuckheld by Laporte and Xavi.

We are all very aware of the situation, thanks.

I've never used the term "goatfecking" but it seems highly appropriate here

As does the rest of your post

I think all we want is finality at this point. If Barcelona say we want Frankie to stay, then say it clearly and that's it. It is now probably financially possible for them to keep him since they have now sold an additional 10% of their TV revenue. It is just a matter of whether they want to.

Yeah ”if”.

But all decent sources saying he absolutely isn’t wiling to do that. The mere fact that we’re here so far into the saga tells us he isn’t willing to do that.

feck me Dermot, you’ve used a lot of words there to say to say absolutely jack shit except some wild claims about De Jong and Ten Hag not really having a great relationship, despite all evidence to the contrary

And things like”viewed from the Barcelona dressing room”, well knobhead, viewed from any place on Earth, Barcelona looks like an absolute shitshow, so there’s always that.

Why are all these "sources from the locker room" but never from the player himself? I'm pretty sure thats just a generic thing for most reporters when they want to express an opinion as fact.

Also has de Jong ever actually commented on his relationship with ten Hag? I'm sure i read that he actually had a good relationship with him and very much respected him?

Aye, “viewed from the dressing room”. What does that even mean? Maybe he’s spoken to a source, a senior player like Busquests who says “United doesn’t seem very attractive right now”, and what the feck does that tell us?

It certainly seems more attractive than being a CN and treated like shit on Barcelona’s shoe.

Well, we are guilty of believing those tweets about United dressing room also. What changed?
