Wrong Queen song?
I think club level is much harder to grow than international. You have to have people really growing up supporting clubs, but people tend to support their nation in any sport and that makes it easier for the international side to grow.Do we think this will lead to a significant uptick in attendance at the club level and will it be sustainable?
Ultimately I think it will be up to women to get out there to the stadiums.
I'd take the fecking dial up tone.Anything is better than fecking Sweet Caroline.
You're comparing it to men's football.I’m happy for them and it’ll do great for young girls watching and future of the sport.
Strange that one can’t mention the quality of it though. I’ll look forward to it improving in the future
Throw a racial slur. He’ll probably try to shag half the team.
Exactly!England women are winners. Maguire et Al can jump off a cliff as far as I’m concerned
i think all the text on the site should be changed to white in honour of this great occasion.

Enjoy your Russian gas, HelgaBetter put out flyers and let everyone know since it’s always been sung ironically upto this point.
Stupid song aside, that was an awful game of football for a final, terrible touches, terrible passing, awful defending from both teams.
Well done to the winning team but it seems miles off a meaningful sport, the crowd seem more carnival and there for a good time more than supporting a nation too, it was a strange watch.
Because there just doesn’t feel like there’s any importance to it. Win or lose, the majority won’t care.Soccer Aid? Because more youngsters attend?
I agree with the sentiment but women's football has been about for thirty years or so, in hundred years the gap will be the same. You're comparing it to men's football.
Men's football has existed at a competetive level for over a 100 years, womens football is barely out of its infant stage in terms of development. Fast-forward 100 years and we'll be having a very different conversation.
I’m not comparing both, not purposely anyway, I watched a semi final and I watched the final out of curiosity, I enjoyed but had no care in the winner, it just lacked a bit of bite.I understand what @Zlatan 7 is saying but I guess it’s just about not directly comparing it to the men’s game because it’s very different.
Essentially two different games in many ways and for a number of reasons.
Just try and take it for what it is and enjoy it.
Fat bottomed girls might have caused offence in this SNOWFLAKE age.Wrong Queen song?
I concur, the caf having a red and white theme in honour of this great occassion isn't enoughi think all the text on the site should be changed to white in honour of this great occasion.
That's because this is what everyone harps on about every time women play, and it's been going on for decades and it's tedious as feck.Strange that one can’t mention the quality of it though.
Yep it’s pretty patheticUsing this success to shit on the mens team and players is going to get old(and fecking obnoxious) very quickly.
And I say that as someone who is not an England fan.
Christ...Enjoy your Russian gas, Helga
The replies you got are to be expected. You shouldn’t let them discourage you. Especially when you are right!I’m not comparing both, not purposely anyway, I watched a semi final and I watched the final out of curiosity, I enjoyed but had no care in the winner, it just lacked a bit of bite.
Wish I didn’t bother commenting now tbh
Fair enough yeahYou're comparing it to men's football.

WowEnjoy your Russian gas, Helga
I’m not falling over myself to say it’s shit. It’s a bloody European final so bound to have people watching it who don’t usually watch and may comment on it.That's because this is what everyone harps on about every time women play, and it's been going on for decades and it's tedious as feck.
And it's made even galling by the fact that it's improved spectacularly in the last 20 years. It's so far beyond what it once was, it's hard to even put it into words. It's been an incredible transformation to watch, and the way it's changed is one of the triumphs of women's sport. So you might be able to appreciate that it gets annoying when there's still people falling over themselves to point out how crap it supposedly is.
You ok hun? He's living on the caf to pick fights with over posters via silly one-liners. Sometimes contradicting himself. Today he also appears to be drunk on nationalism. So I think it's best to ignore him.
Since Brexit got DONE, we've finished 2nd and 1st respectively in the EUROPEAN Championship.now we’re out of the eu is there anything to stop us changing the name of the country to womengland?
Depends what metric.Because there just doesn’t feel like there’s any importance to it. Win or lose, the majority won’t care.
Bloody disgusting isn’t itNice to see a few morons that haven't posted in this thread all tournament have come out now acting all edgy.
Bore off.
You just know she was a 10/10 back in the day.Sarina Wiegman is a bit of a gilf isn't she?
Your always slagging off everything about England. You was the same at the men's Euros. Jog on mate.I’m not falling over myself to say it’s shit. It’s a bloody European final so bound to have people watching it who don’t usually watch and may comment on it.
I can see it’s a very sensitive subject so I’m done in here now. Enjoy the win England
