Unless United walk away and Barca are forced to accept the 50 million that Chelsea want to pay, i don't see them entering the race at all.
It would be a whole lot of cash for them to blow on a player they don't need. Plus he's a great player, yes, but he's not exactly a statement player is he? All they'd really have to brag out is nicking a player that United tried for for a long long time at the last moment. If thats a big thing for them, well?
That's most likely what they're doing if anything imo... Keeping an eye in case they might get a deal if Barcelona feel they have to settle for any deal in the end.

I expect we'll get another update from a journalist saying United are comfortable with the situation and the cycle continues until Barca pay him.

This cretin has gone from being one of the most reliable mouthpieces in the game to the absolute pits.
Not really. He was the first to call the Kounde deal recently when everyone had him going to Chelsea. If he tweeted out right now saying De Jong is completely done to a certain club it would be true.

FdJ was supposed to have been 95% done in early May, and our first signing of the summer.

Should have a new poll

On a scale of 1 to 10 how happy are you with this transfer saga

Feck points 3 to 9.

1. Michael Dudikoff
2. David Hasselhoff
10. King Jong balls out

It would appear that a Chelsea Exec is in Barcalona's office right now, starting to get a tad concerned

Think we'll get this over the line before tonight's deadline?
I think there's a 0% chance this happens by today's major league baseball trade deadline.

Maybe we could pull off a trade of Ronaldo to the Washington Nationals in exchange for Juan Soto by the end of the day?
