Huge conjecture on this. How is that journalism?

Ah yes the good old opinion reporting.

If that was the case, then they'd have bidded that by now wouldn't they? Yes they say they're waiting for the player to give the green light, but my guess is they're waiting because they know Barca will get desperate as the window gets closer to closing

Chelsea has now a net spend of 156 million. How deep is their pockets if they want to spend another 75 on De Jong?
Don't they also want Fofana too? Don't forget the need for a striker as well... looking at a net spend of way over £250m to £300m

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
If Chelsea are prepared to spend 62m on a position they desperately need, imagine the hundred million they’d spend on a position they are stacked.
Quite. The logical viewpoint is even they’ve got a budget and with the money they’re about to spend on Fofana they’re already at well over 200m net with at least one attacker still to go and a RWB. Another 85m on top of that with the deferred wages? Seems a bit of a stretch to me.

Haven't they also added a couple of other midfielders too? Granted they're young and for the future, but still... just how stacked do they want to be in MF??

Chelsea spending 102m million or thereabouts on FDJ would be the most bizarre transfer, but not for Ducker, he’s gone 2+2 = 1 million.
Also seems to tie in very nicely with Barca’s wish to get United to offer more to settle his fee, English journo being used as a mouthpiece?

Glazers need to sell. They aren’t good at this.
I mean, sure. But what does that have to do with this? What were they supposed to do, pay his wages that barca owe him? What precedent does that set? Or magically convince him that we’re in the CL and his GF that Manchester is as good as barcelona? Come on.

United have already agreed a fee?

Unless he’s suggesting Chelsea will pay more to the player?

Strange report and unsure of the relevance
I think he's saying they'll offer 100m in one swoop to cover the wages and the fee. If that was the case, why are they refusing to meet Barcas €80m fixed?

They're interested but not negotiated or anything if latest reports from Fab were to be believed. Don't they value him more at €50m?
