Those who are enjoying it fair play to them. But those who are still here when they aren’t enjoying it, pity on them.
I have about 10-15 posts in this and I was optimistic up until 3 weeks ago. I’m not one of those you are referring to.

I believe it’s 28 days to the deadline. Setting aside the great movie reference (28 days later), we will need to average about 23 pages of posts per day to reach 2000. Definitely doable.

Anyone else kind of like the smell of paint? I've been huffing it all day.

Anyway, tomorrow is Frenkie day I have heard from a very reliable source in Kenyan media. He has never steered me wrong before. Really hope he signs for us as I've put twenty quid on it.

I also put twenty quid on Ronaldo to Atletico though, so.....

Don't threadban anyone! We need 23 pages per day and the anti-muppets are grist to the main goal... 2,000 pages! (hopefully we sign that Frenkie bloke too...)

Why wouldn’t I? This is what transfer window season is all about! I pity the people who don’t have patience or the mental fortitude
I think people forget that this is the one time of year when we can properly get engrossed in the silly season.

January just isn't the same, you never really see anything decent happening then, summer is where it's all about!

I hope he stays at Barca if he isn't coming here. In case, if he does end up at Chelsea, we should boo the feck out the guy when he comes and plays at OT.:D

We have spent a major chunk of our transfer period on this signing particularly. Hopefully, we will get the happy ending all the muppets are craving for but every passing day the chances of him coming here are looking bleak.

Exactly.

The transfer window is not about actually bringing in footballers we need to be better. It's about the muppets we've lost along the way.

Chelsea 1/2 odds on
Barca 3/1 to stay
Man Utd 4/1

Odds are saying we are out of it, but it just doesnt feel like we are if you get what i mean, for example as soon as Liverpool came in for Nunez i knew it was over but im not getting it with this transfer.

This is the time of year we dream regardless of how stupid and lost the cause appears to be. For a lot of people, the giddy excitement is a release from the mundane repetition of life. Of course I’m going to believe every positive story and be in denial of every negative story. That’s what a transfer muppet lives for. But for the love of cheese, if people are fed up of the thread then stop shitting in our shoes.

Think I probably did most of my posting in transfer threads. Even when it’s nowhere near transfer window time. This particular thread is the Daddy if you ask me. It’s got everything (including reports that we agreed a fee which is never a given), and with luck there’s still the flight tracking to come. Muppets unite.

He had a wobble but i think he's back on track now.
Probably busy lately though im guessing
Many of us had a wobble but this thread (and the posters in it) keeps drawing us back in. It is, quite simply, the best thread ever made.

Completely agree. It's got a bit of everything really, and we're still going strong. No amount of negativity will bring us muppets down!

Could just do with a title change, I can't stand seeing the words Harry and Redknapp in a football conversation.

I’d advise getting drunk. It really does put things into perspective. Who is De Jong?
