This is like a cell..with no window
And the cell is filling up with water. Not quick enough for you to drown instantly, but also not slowly enough that you can't ignore it. Also, the ceiling is electrified and there is a feckload of lego scattered all over the floor, and the guards have made you eat your own shoes.

So basically he goes to Leipzig they sell him for £80m and the whole RB group are happy.

Great stuff.

According to BILD, RB Leipzig agreed a deal for Salzburg's Benjamin Sesko (19). However: The striker will only come to Leipzig next summer 2023. But RB already wanted to get down to business, and the change should be official tomorrow. The Slovenian signs a five-year contract.

Maybe ETH said to Murtough "we need to win the race for that Slavic striker from Austria" just to have Mourtough proudly telling him yesterday "Hey Erik! Remember that racist Austrian striker of Slavic orgin you told me about? DONE DEALIO"

We started a midfielder over Ronaldo in the 1 game of the season. Glad it’s set in stone for you how the season will go after 1 game!
We all know he wasn’t match fit. If he played even an extra game in preseason Ronaldo would have started.

I wonder if United are still, 3 months later, trying to negotiate down Watford's £2m asking price for that goalkeeper.

Plettenberg reporting its a done deal for 24mil euros. FFS not even a glimmer of hope of a gazump now.

I was just a feeling at that moment, but it seemed kinda telling to me, when Šeško's agent gave the TV interview last week, he was asked if the fee would really reach the rumored 50 mil, and he answered that if Šeško only followed the money it would but he prioritises his development so the fee could also not be as high. It was a clear indication of RB Leipzig, and sadly I think the agent was using us to get guaranteed minutes next year at Leipzig.

Can't even turn a kids head playing in Austria, similar with Timber.

Clubs a joke.
If the rumor is true, it is probably better for his development to go the typical Salzburg->Leipzig route. He is only 19 year old.

I can't put my finger on it but this RB stuff seems corrupt.

Only 24m for Leipzig.

To be fair we'd all choose Leipzig over us at the moment if given the choice.

We can't even beat Leipzig, surely Manchester as a city and United as a club are better than Leipzig, bloody Leipzig. God Almighty, God Almighty, God Almighty.

They're a properly run club that produce top quality footballers. The moment his agent said he was more focused on development the writing was on the wall.

Absolutely nothing dodgy about that deal at all is there? This whole red bull group, City group thing in football really needs to be looked at by the powers that be.

They are basically selling to themselves, they’re a conglomerate. We weren’t beaten by any means

Almost like it’s better to do your business early on in the window, as opposed to when the season starts. Of course we’re being told to get fecked.

But I thought getting Arnautovic was part of the brilliant stop gap plan to get Sesko next season  I wonder what the deluded ones on here will come up with next to excuse our shitshow.

Anyone blaming us for not getting this one done I am sorry but you're not reading the situation correctly. This is what happens with these teams - Salzburg to Leipzig to big club. The Red Bull group were never going to let this play out any other way. That's why it's half the fee that we (and Chelsea) were quoted. Even then if we had said "here you go, here's 50 million", I still think what has happened would have happened. I also can't blame the lad and it's probably the best for his development too - play first choice for Salzburg, then first choice for Leipzig.

Think we just took a punt that he might have fancied it and forced a move.

Ah here we have the first deluded one with the most stupid excuse I've yet seen. Never knew Haaland went to Leipzig after Salzburg must have missed something. Or Mane for that matter. What absolute nonsense. We simply came too little and too late once again.
