Memphis > Arnautovic
I’d take both now as they are a huge upgrade on A Elanga and M Rashford current form we need options from the bench we’ve lost Cisco , Antony, Nunez,
We are not getting L Saine so this is the best we can hope for definitely mitigate my risk and take both offer Barcelona 15m which is s joke as we should be getting a 25% sell on Depay but he left on a free so we tell him he’s on 85% contract of what he wants plus goal and appearance bonus. He should still get £150k per week and more than what anyone else will offer, Anatovic 2+1 contract max fee 10m or we pull out, Murtough is so bad he’ll probably mess up three of the easiest transfers to do in decades, Rabiot Anatovic and Depay all similar, they are all nasty and they sulk when they don’t play, maybe we need some of that !

If we fail to land de Jong, we should just use all the funds left on the 'final year of contract' trio - Ruiz, Rabiot & Tielemans.

No out & out ball winner, but all 3 can pass & don't shy away from defensive duties.

Solve our midfield woes once & for all.
James Garner is already the best ball winner in the squad in that role he’ll play against Brentford I’m convinced and he’ll play well

No chance we pay big for both, best we can hope is De Jong & Rabiot but looks impossible
De Jong might be better as a loan because then we are playing his wages which are huge and probably a loan fee this could be a 2 year loan with an option to buy allowing him to be paid his money from Barcelona too

This is the only transfer that if true excites me ?
Yeh if we get Rabiot (meh) and SMS (yeh!) then I think we have drastically improved our midfield. A pool of Rabiot, SMS, Eriksen and Fred (on his day) isn’t too bad for the the two behind Bruno/Eriksen/VDB

Fred is one of the best ball winners in the league. Garner has yet to play in the EPL.

The Garner stuff is all based on a theory and him doing alright at a lower level. He's got it all to prove, and I'm far from convinced he'll be able to.

So we are replacing the problems of Pogba with two players. SMS as the hollywood-ball-playing midfielder who cannot play in a double pivot. And Rabiot as the French midfielder who is moody and comes with a controversial agent. And we still won't have a midfielder who is natural to the holding role.

Garner has barely touched the ball in competitive Premier League game - same hype that was about Chelsea prodigy DM Billy Gilmour who was absolute star in dominant Championship side, but in Premier League struggled to leave his mark.

Which doesn't mean that in a season or two, one of them or both can do it, but neither are ready to carry a side with ambitions to reach Champions League atm.

So that’s the fall out and positive spin from a crushing defeat exposing our shortcomings: “we’re in for rabiot, arnautovic and (not happening - SMS).

Thats as damning as it gets in terms of where we areas a club.

Memphis > Arnautovic
People are still on this? Thinking that a false 9 or converted winger is better than a number 9.. I don’t want arnautovic but he’s infinitely harder to play against than Memphis.

Would rather have Memphis back than Arnautovic. Also seen we are linked with Gakpo? Another Dutch league player.

So that’s now

Arnautovic
Gakpo
SMS
Rabiot
Guido

In 24-48hrs since losing to Brighton.

Going to be an interesting few weeks of the window! Wouldn’t be surprised if there were any deadline day deals either!

Rashford had 25 PL apps last season he scored 4 goals . So yes you’re wrong
I didn’t realise we were only counting one season. He played less than 14 games worth of minutes. So in his worst season, he is comfortably a better than 1 in 5 goal scorer. So yes, you’re wrong.

I wonder who we'll be linked to when we lose to Brentford. I predict Bebe and Romeo Beckham

In his last PL season Arnautovic has 20 goals and 7 assists in 40 games for WH.

If this is not “PL proven” I don’t know what is.

Rashy is proven to be absolutely useless so yeah, with our striker situation, Arnautovic makes sense.

Also, Arna is a fighter on the pitch, unlike most United players who are utter pussies.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.

I think arnautovic is miles better than people on here think but I don’t think those figures are right. 10 goals is what I saw.

Whilst the lack of ambition is depressing, it's hard to blame the manager for trying to sign multiple less talented players he knows from the Dutch league. It's clearly that or absolutely nothing

I mean it isn't hard at all. The club has scouts, it has its own targets, but we're choosing to strictly go off what the manager wants, rightly or wrongly, we'll soon find out. I'm all for backing the manager, but what he wants is baffling me.
