Exactly, and where do you think he got that info from? Chelsea thought it was a done deal.
For that deal, Barca stayed quiet until the last moments. Right now the same thing is happening, all the noise is about Chelsea.

They also have Conor Gallagher, who certainly looked like he could have a bright future last season. I'd take him at United! Chelsea have shown with the likes of Mason Mount and Reece James that if you're good enough, you can win a place in the first team, regardless have how wealthy the club is and how widely they can operate in the transfer market. I'm surprised they aren't looking to create the room for Gallagher to develop and show what he can do, and maybe Billy Gilmour too, although last season wasn't too great for him.
Tuchel wants Conor, he has never been strong on Billy making the team. It was the opposite with Lampard.

Do we know if he actually change his pic to one in a Barca shirt in the first place?
Apparently he did have photos related to Barca. He also deleted an announcement pic of him signing for Barca. It may just be all precaution in case he does have to leave by the weekend. So bizarre.

I am not confident in anything getting over the line until a player is holding a shirt in this window. Boehly is delivering, but he is going after everyone that Tuchel fancies to land a handful. He has no experience in putting these deals together.

That’s weird as he has been released by Chelsea now and is a free agent- I suspect he’s just not changed anything in the first place!
He’d effectively be back to being a free agent. I’d imagine there will still be a lot of clubs interested in him so he may not necessarily come back to Chelsea.

Yeah they didn't want to pay him the first time, why would they now? Could see him replacing De Ligt at Juve

That's the claim but I've yet to see a screenshot or anyone claiming they actually saw it before it was 'changed back'.

Perhaps, but part of me suspects he's just happy to be linked and involved in these big names, especially after the barca hijackings. They don't *need* Frenkie this season, Tuchel even admitted as much, so if he comes then great, and if not, at least we tried and showed our ambition.

Effectively, us and Chelsea are in the same position.

Only thing is we're not briefing to reporters that we think it's a done deal

Yep, the "embarrass the player into signing so we don't have to awkwardly say we were wrong" strategy.

If Chelsea don’t spend on Fofana they have the money to spend on FDJ. They get a CB for “free”.
Why would you assume he’d go back to Chelsea? That seems very unlikely, bridges definitely burnt you’d imagine.

FdJ holds all the cards. Barca have been trying to humiliate him. He can do nothing and watch the club burn for a couple weeks, and then leaves after the enjoyment of the carnage.

Can you imagine the scenes if we get a Here We Go this weekend from Romano about FDJ signing for Utd!

I bet the board are waiting for us to get spanked by Brentford before announcing it.

" Leaving Barca : Mes Que Criminals " will be the name of the Netflix Documentary. Opens with the boomtowns rats 'i don't like mondays'.
Haha ... Somebody remembers the song!
I saw them play in a tiny hall once. I shouted for Mary of the 4th form so many times, Bob could hear me easily told me to feckin' shut up!

If the next news that comes out is still about Frenkie insisting on staying at Barca then its probable neither of us will get him. Will reduce his wages and stay, just like Dembele folded.

Bremer replaced De ligt at Juve. But he wouldnt be short of top suitors if he were to be free again same for Kessie.
