It clearly cannot be down to ETH . These players have continued their spiral in competitive games from last season. The culture at the club will not change unless he loses 80% and gets replacements. Murtough sacking all the scouts and woefully neglecting the rebuilding process has exascerbated everything,

We’ve been cursed ever since we got Sir Alex’s hand-picked successor sacked within the space of less than a year.
Na, Fergie obviously made some deal with the devil for his success and he has come to claim every one of our souls as payment.

They need to go. It might take relegation to get rid of them but the club cannot continue to carry them any more.
If I were the Glazers I'd be very very worried about what might happen if we suffer a heavy defeat against the dippers in the next game.

Always remember, a dodgy regime falls quickly once momentum starts to build.

The momentum has started.

ETH will be learning very quickly which players he can’t trust and those who don’t do the hard yards. The honeymoon period of pre-season is definitely over. So many of our players just trundling around while the other teams players are sprinting 70 yards back to make a challenge.

Sell Rashford to PSG, he checked out a long time ago. Re-invest the money to buy a hard working, mentally strong player, both of which he isn’t.

Martinez is taking a lot of abuse for their tactic of hitting the ball long towards him but he was doing fairly well I thought. He wasn’t at fault for the first 2 goals, the 3rd one, he gets beat in the air but seemed to slip. 4th goal was Maguires fault for letting Toney run off him, even when Eriksen signalled to him that the pass over the top was coming 5 seconds before it did.

Malacia was the only player who really got stuck in and threw himself into things. He must start ahead of Shaw who has completely lost his way again.

Drop Bruno and play Eriksen in his place, rather than alongside him. I know that means playing McFred but I’m expecting one of them will be upgraded before the end of the window.

I can’t even begin to talk about DDG today. Especially when you see their keeper wipe out Rashford 30 yards from his own goal and come 10 yards off his line to collect crosses.

Our fear has come true. Ten Hag was too confident, looking down on the English Premier League when he bought a short central defender who had not proven anything in the big leagues before. After today, it can be confirmed that Martinez is a big flop of MU this transfer season. Really reprehensible. This is definitely Ten Hag's fault, no doubt.
A match shows that De Gea, the goalkeeper who is earning the highest salary in world football history for a goalkeeper, has now become his own shadow. Dean is gone, now no one can fix it.
The two wings with Dalot and Luke Shaw continued to become a disappointment, one was lazy to run, the other was too limited in skills, not worthy of playing in the Premier League.
The central midfielder rotates between Fred and McTom to see that even one of these two on the field is too much for this team. These two men can't play as the anchor. The duo's comedic moments are really not funny anymore for Red Devils fans now.
Bruno and R4 were invisible today for the whole match, Bruno still try to make people remember him today with a yellow card at the end of the game.
That's it, Glazer OUT!
I take it you don't remember Vidic's and Evra's first few games. It's far too early to call that.

OK guys, you had your fun, can we have Ole back now?
You either have a very bad memory or simply don’t understand the game. Ole had this team at the bottom half of the table and getting blown out as well. This isn’t a coaching issue anymore. This is an overall culture issue that starts with the ownership. Too many guys are just not good enough. Ralf was right…”open heart surgery.”

I expect to see zero response and think we'll play the same (or perhaps even worse) against Liverpool. This team have given us nothing. The same players who were shite last season are shite this season. There's never a response after a 'humiliating' defeat and they don't seem to possess the intelligence to be able to reflect on their mistakes and improve with the next performance.

They're not a team. There's no fight for each other and there's no cohesion, no willingness to drive forward and create exciting chances, or that tenacity to prevent goals. There's nothing. They get paid millions to play a game that I don't think some of them even enjoy playing.

Feck them. Happy for any of them to be moved on.

Something big needs to happen.

We cannot move on with business as usual after that.

It won’t happen, but I’d love to see some drastic stuff this week. Players released from contracts, massive incomings in terms of buying hungry youngsters, Iqbal etc starting from now on - absolutely whatever it takes.

Instead we’ll just keep going as we always do and get smashed 8-0 by Liverpool.

Yeah, and the worst thing about it is that it didn't need to be this way. City would've still built themselves into the behemoth they are, Liverpool would still have Klopp and his magic, but where would be no without a family who have put zero into the club but taken a billion? What did we get in return? Sponsors? We were Manchester United, we already knew how to make money from sponsors. Woodward wasn't a financial genius and I don't care who says he was.

We already had a huge head start on the opposition. This isn't comparable to Liverpool's decline and inability to modernise and it's not because of oil money. It's plain incompetence.
After the post-mortem on MUTV, they start showing grainy clips of Roy Keane scoring goals. Here you go, kids! We'll still sell you on the idea that this is Keane's United, we'll show you clips of Ole winning the Champions League! And it's fecking sad now. Just like Liverpool with 23 (?) years without a title, them keep going on about how they were great in the 80s, and we laughed at them. They were pathetic. Holding onto glories over a decade past is pathetic when the current team are in relegation form. 7 straight away losses, is it? Our worst points total last season? Woodward, and I mean no disrespect by this, can go blow a donkey. Him and the leeches/Glazers have killed the goose that lays the golden eggs. It was our football that brought success, the success brought money. Unlike Chelsea, Man City, and probably Newcastle in a couple years' time, we earned our stripes, we earned our fans, we earned our trophies.

All that is in ruins. We're Has Been FC. Banter FC. And it was clear when ETH was appointed 4 months ago a massive overhaul was needed, 6 players minimum, hopefully 9, and another 10 out the door. Everyone knew this. And yet we're made to feel content with 3 signings, one of which was free with a bum ticker, and two others unproven in this league. Massive overhaul.

This is fecking depressing. I'm sick of the bants every fecking week from my friends. Sick of watching the team just suck. Sick of watching the Glazers destroy this club.

This was for people that compared EtH to Klopp and Guardiola. They changed the way their teams play from game 1 even when they had unsuitable squads.
We’re quickly deteriorating into a Frank de Boer situation. We’re likely to continue to lose our next few games and could end up bottom of the league after 7-8 games.
What happens then?

When Rangnick said we needed 10 players, I have a feeling it was more about mentality than ability.
More than possible.
Most are completely done. The pressure is too much.

We’ve all been saying it for multiple seasons, not enough pace in attack, not enough quality in key positions, lack of aggressive characters in general. Too many years of focusing on squad harmony and players being happy whilst forgetting what it takes to win. No completion for places, favourites playing every week regardless of form for 3 years…this will take months to fix minimum.

ETH was a brave man to take this job.

It's a very bad start isn't it!? Club and fan base in total meltdown. It's only the second game and will probably get worse before it gets better but my god, that first half was scary. Some random thoughts:

  • Hopefully EtH has seen enough of Shaw at left back.
  • DDG is proving the doubters right. And wear a fecking cap next time the sun is out like that.
  • Mctominay coming on was funny because he did some good stuff, won a few tackles, carried the ball up the pitch....but then plays two passes to absolutely no one, has a poor touch and gets booked yet again. Sums up his career here for me.
  • Martinez :(. Felt sorry for him. Hope he can turn it around.
  • Rashford played better than normal and was still pretty ineffectual.
  • Sancho completely ineffectual as usual
  • Some decent attack patterns in the second half but it feels a bit blunt
Liverpool next. Let's pray for a miracle.

Well that was fun - cheers lads! Do you think Thomas Frank would get away with saying we smashed you in the first half this time? Fair play to the United fans that stood behind and clapped us off. On the bright side it can surely only get better for you guys from here. Looking forward to see you at old Trafford.

I keep trying to find positives but I’m really struggling now. After last season I seen a glimmer of hope with a relatively successful pre-season. I was happy with the ETH appointment but it seems the wheels have come off the wagon. The owners have no interest in spending on the club only in taking money from it. The higher ups have no clue what we are doing and seem to be chasing their tales hoping signing a name rather than doing their homework on the player like City and Liverpool. I believe ETH can turn things around but only given proper investment, time and funds. I say all this and I haven’t even mentioned the squad, we’re full of players who have no interest in playing for the badge only how many Instagram likes they can get for some random clothing company their now involved with. We need new players brought in NOW but not just any players ones that will fight for this club and strive to get us back to where we were

Never seen a player to drop off that quickly from the very best in his position to this level.. At least he was a world class shot stopper, now he's Taibi mk2. Needs to be gone quickly until the transfer window is still open.

The third goal was really Erickson getting picked and diallo late to get over. But yeah, everything you said applies

This is why I havent watch pre season games in like 7 years. Usually I wait until games 8/9 in the EPL ONLY to get an idea of what we can be. The intensity and desire of PREM teams to beat United is incomprehensible.

Two of that starting front 3 have had their agents offering their clients around all summer. Anyone who doesn’t want to be here needs to feck off. Yesterday. Luke Shaw moves slower than me at 5-aside. His intensity is a fecking joke. He needs to be gone - out the fecking door. Dalot is by far the worst regular starter I’ve seen in my lifetime. We need a RB. Now. The club only had the 8 months to prepare. We had our worst PL season in history. The response to that is to have a window which wouldn’t look out of place at West Ham. It is fecking laughable. And you just know this week we’ll bring in some very average footballers to compound the misery.
They should all go.

Can't spell Mkhitaryan

Ronaldo and EtH just aren't right. We can't go further into the season with our main gal threat and our manager not on the same page.

Can start by binning him and recalling Henderson, has had the look of a proper deer in the headlights between the sticks this season
It's urgent now. Mentally gone. Let\s not continue with him Any keeper would be better than him right now.

From DDG interview my take:

This core of the team are yet to grasp his ideas.
They are a bunch of woosies.
They are not as talented as they believe themselves to be.
The boat needs rocking by benching some of the senior starting players and throw a kid or two in the starting line up.

Didn't watch the game but watching the second goal with the info, that Jensen scored, I was like: how could he score, when he just missed a FK? And then we more or less just passed the ball to him to get a second chance. We are very friendly
