:nono: Don't you guys know that's there is not a single defensive midfielder in the whole wide world that is good enough to play for a team that finished 8th last season?

Tbf, I do struggle to find any midfielders out there that are better than McFred. We have seen their great quality in the last 3 years.

We're skint. The club is on it's knees under these owners and we've got to hope that some rich wanker makes them an offer they can't refuse soon.

We’ve been linked with so many more players, especially since the season started, and yet here we are, no new signings.. then reading the Swiss ramble thread makes things even worse.. we really need some new signings or things will get ugly on and off (with the supports) the field.

Lets look at this summer, look at the shambles it has been.

Eriksen needed convincing to join us over Brentford.
Malacia joined because we matched the Lyon offer.
Lisandro only joined because of Ten Hag, overpaid for him too.

Struggling to sign a player that has been left out of Juve's team.
Deluded in thinking we can sign De Jong.
CR7 circus

Murtough and the gang will have to answer for this, its not acceptable.

Not looking good, is it. I think we will get Rabiot and some random 36 year old forward and that will be it.

Not that I have much love for the Glazers, but they would never risk us getting relegated like that. Money will be spent, they have no choice. You can't make 7bn on selling a club in the Championship.

After a shocking defeat Woodward would've been on his A game and brought in a few signings. This regime is honestly worse.

The question of 'what the feck are they doing' has to be answered by Arnold and Murtough because its negligence at this point.
Yeah snails move quicker than these two, disappointing to not see a reaction to this defeat

Glasgow resident these days.
There will be no more players coming in. I doubt we will get a buyer for Garner as he’s not proven in the PL. no one will take a £15m pint on him based on last season.
We are fecked - absolutely fecked as an elite club because a £50m spend each summer won’t see us improve much, and we’ve got a reducing in Adidas money when we miss out on CL next season. I doubt we will have EL next season either. New shirt sponsor won’t be paying much as the last one, given how poor we are on the pitch.

For us lot not old enough to remember the relegation this is toughest times experienced

Even Rabiot is stalling. Jeez, at this rate, we would struggle to sign one of our youth players on a professional contract.

Pretty understandable from his POV, would've likely been the same situation with any other club

Malacia joined because we matched the Lyon offer.
I don't even understand what you're trying to say here, but hey, anything to moan about

Lisandro only joined because of Ten Hag, overpaid for him too.
You've reached that conclusion after 2 games, wow! You should become a professional scout if you haven't already

Struggling to sign a player that has been left out of Juve's team.
We're not willing to offer him £160k/week that they are holding out for...this would usually be a positive in people's eyes if it was any other team than Utd

Deluded in thinking we can sign De Jong.
So you know for a fact that we can't? We wouldn't have agreed a deal with Barca if the player wasn't willing to come here, especially considering that ETH and FDJ have been in continuous contact according to reputable journos

CR7 circus
Entirely on him

The situation is pretty shit at United right now, but I hate posts like this one where you make up shit just to spin everything into a negative thing.

Really surprised we haven't signed anyone after the defeats. Hopefully we're actually working on something exciting behind the scenes, but the clock is ticking, and it seems like we can't even secure Rabiot.

Ten Hag must be panicking by the thought of a full season with this lot.

yeah this shit aint looking good. If we go into pool game and still havent added players gonna be a bad time. If we dont add any quality before end of transfer window i legitimately think gonna be closer to relegation than top half

Even though it’s not quite as obvious, having McTominay and Fred as the starting midfield pairing feels like when Pereira was a regular attacker.

Just seems we are linked to everyone possible, Glazers posturing to say at least we tried and couldnt pull it off. Glad we waited so long to try and do anything about the lack of transfers, great job all round.

So agreed deals with clubs but rejected by Frenkie, rabiot, Cunha... Who else? This is astounding.

Look we dont have the pull anymore. We are a bloody circus, with low mentalities and players with no belief. For about 6 or 7 years we've managed to get by with getting decent enough players at a cost of luring them with sky high wages.

Now it seems we arent willing to pay those wages and so nobody is stupid enough to come. Its an absolute farce and if you had said to me in May that we would be 2 weeks out from deadline day in this mess I would have never believed it. Shambles.

This has been a disaster of a transfer window.

All that's left is a last minute panic buy to wrap it up.

We are so badly screwed right now and seems like the people running the club don’t have a clue about this at all. I genuinely don’t know who we are going to beat with this team. Call it overreaction but it’s been over an year of underperformance now and we are almost certainly a bottom half team right now

I dread to think what kind of midfielder and forward you end up with when you're so far down your transfer wishlist that you're forced to look at the options below Rabiot and Arnautovic.

We are fecked. Relegation is closer than top 4. This is how bad it is. Midtable sides have a better midfield and goalkeeper than us. Add to that our bad form for a long period, this could end badly

Not sure what’s worse . Not being able to sign anyone or being linked with Casemiro. It’s like clockwork, absolutely nothing changes at this club

The targets we've identified as back ups for De Jong are SMS, Rabiot, Caicedo and Casemiro. None of them play similarly to the Dutch man and none of them play similarly to each other either. It's clear that we haven't done any planning or scouting for the profile of player that Ten Hag requires and are just winging it now.

There has been a massive failure in our recruitment division for years. We aren't finding the young, potentially great players that others are. Or when we do, we don't pursue them. We're just going for big name players now.
