Considering our confidence must have been on the floor after last week that really is a monumental effort and performance from the team, I just hope it's the spark that ignites our season. Get a few ins and outs sorted and maybe the season isn't a write off after all.

I woke up to watch this. What a surprise performance from United, exactly what they needed. Liverpool had a few injuries and I’m sure Nunez would be kicking himself for last week. Still, no one gave United a chance.
ETH had to change things up and it paid off. Malacia and Martinez were great. All the players actually looked like they were trying. Football is a funny game… United are actually on top of Liverpool now.

I can’t wait to see Casemiro in front of Martinez. They’ll rip it up together.

Verane was great at organising the defence too. Very good show from him today. Dalot looked handy and Melacia had a great match.

Very promising.

Martinez and Malacia were both superb throughout whilst that’s the best performance I’ve seen from Fernandes since …. Ronaldo signed for us, there’s a reason Portugal only play one of them unless they’re chasing a game.

The difference in Rashford was massive and if we get Antony in I’d be very happy with Antony and Sancho out wide and Rashford or Martial through the middle as the pace they have in behind or pulling out wide could be a huge weapon for us.

The main negative for me was McTominay who constantly gave the ball away or misscontrolled the ball with an awful tough so I can’t wait to see Casemeiro come in, I’d be very surprised if Ronaldo or Maguire (should anyone show interest) were both here come September.

Martinez though. Jesus. He's a million times the player Maguire is.

A few months ago I remember reading that Rangnick had told our Board that we needed to replace Maguire, Shaw and Wan-Bissaka. Looked much different without them didn't it?

Basically a new spine tonight and it showed. Casemiro for McTominay will level it up again. Let's hope this is the start of something good.

Martinez, Varane and Malacia were stand outs for me. Ten hags changes were the difference. Now we need to maintain the momentum

Just such an important result. Needed it badly, and we're out of the relegation zone. Might get vertigo this high up the table

What a great feeling, finally some fight!

Martinez has the Baily craziness in the box with so far none of Baily's idiocy when on the ball. Looks like a good signing already. He'll be targeted by shithouse teams though, he'll struggle against those.

Amazing, vital win. That performance genuinely might have just saved our season. I don't know how they did it

Martinez-Varane was excellent. With some fine tuning, malacia is going to be massive! Great game by everyone involved. Excellent spirit!

Malacia and Martinez passion and fight was fantastic to see! Keep that up and add Casemiro to that and we might be turning the corner soon!

Martinez was immense. Him and Varane looked so solid at the back. Also Malacia. Put Casemiro in that team and we won’t be conceding as many chances. Happy for Rashford also. He needs some confidence.
I hope he finally kick starts his football career and that goal surely helped him. Let's see though, I'm still skeptical of him

McTominay was so direct and tidy. He also was progressive with the ball. Very impressed by him
To be honest, I was depressed when i saw him in lineup. However I think he did well for most of the game. He should stick to what he does best, ball recovering and breaking opponent play. Important he releases once he won the ball. That was a time when he tried to do too much and dribble himself, resulting in being tackled. He needs to know his strengths and weakness. Once he mastered that, he can be a good squad player, still not first team though.

Taxi for Milner...last seen sliding past the Arndale centre!

Really needed that lift after some soul destroying football over 12 months. Will do ETH and more importantly the squad a world of good knowing that if you put the hardwork in, the rewards are there.

After three games, United 3 points. Liverpool 2. Looking forward to the 'club in crisis' headlines.

Thank feck for that. This is the perfect timing for the New Manchester United era to begin. Fresh manager who just woke up from a bad start to instill the winning mentality against the big rival.

It's great we showed wecan raise the standards but I'd hope we can keep that till the next games. A lot of superbad decision making and Liverpool were toothless tonight but if we put effort EVERY game we will slowly start winning with the quality coming withing the team as we get to play more and more as a team and from transfers.

BTW what a wanker Ronaldo is, he'sthere for 10 minutes and he can't break the sweat. Let'shope he will not get much of a game time and this game showed he will not be preffered. Bold decision from the man behind the wheel.
