Fully expect a better, more active second half otherwise these players are just plain cnuts.

For balance; if they do put in an effort next half then I'll call them amazing.

Out of curiosity why is it far fetched now days to try ronaldo on the left wing, there have been plenty slow wingers that have done well and to be fair ronaldo still has a great deal of pace compared to the average Premier league player?

Ronaldo for Elanga, go Sancho - Ronnie - Rashford in attack with Rashford on the left.

Casemiro for Bruno, push Eriksen forward.

Defence has been really good again. Eriksen has been good. Sancho has looked decent when he's had the ball. We're definitely lacking a presence up front. I think we're missing Martial a lot. Elanga hasn't done well, probably would take him off for Ronaldo. McTominay hasn't really done anything so I'd like to see Casemiro on for him. It's not been a bad performance and we should have scored by now, but there is definitely still room for improvement. Malacia motm for me so far.

With all due respect, level Elanga is showing is totally unacceptable. It was beyond poor

Yeah, there are clear deficiencies in the team, but we all know that, nothing unexpected about the game. Doing as well as can be expected with Elanga and Rashford up front, and a midfield 3 consisting of McTominay, Bruno ‘unable to do the simple thing’ Fernandes and a number 10.

Sancho isn't playing well either. I swear it is because he looks classy on the ball that many fail to see he is actually keeping the ball too long in possession. He is slowing down the game and never really takes on his marker.

Funnily enough Rio just said exactly what I said. Although he credited Southampton's game plan but I think the defenders are under instructions to hoof if in doubt.
mctominay needs to stop dropping deep and bruno needs to stop saying so high.

there is a giant hole in midfield

I get it, considering how many times we concede from passing out but it’s just mental how little we offer in the middle. Hopefully Casemiro helps.

9 million quid for that Ketchup lad and he's done more good in 45 mins than I've seen our 80 million CB. If only we scouted him instead, Heinz sight is a great thing.

Casemiro coming on in the 85th minute knowing EtH. This is where a manager earns his coin. Make changes at HT…it is as clear as day what our weaknesses are.

We could probably have used Ronaldo up front today. If it stays this way I'd expect him to come on and stay uptop to give us a focal point. Many times no one bothered to make the run that needed to be made.

I'm not anti Scottish, I just wanted Moyes out.
Yes. But... Our other options dont offer better. Eriksen was supposed to, he was great last season, but now he comes in and struggles just as much as Bruno
Eriksen has been the best player on the pitch. He needs to play in the 10 position which Bruno is taking up negatively impacting our attack. Eriksen at 10 Bruno off and Casemiro on is what ETh needs to do. He wont though.

We are so short in numbers in attack, its a joke. Please use the 90m for a CM and striker. Sigh.

The number of times I watch us and I am content, then come here to see people flipping out
I mean, it wasn't vintage, but not bad away from home for a first half

It seems we have no midfield, no coherent attack play, no goalscorer, and no pressing up front.

Maybe we are not ready yet, I don't know, we don't look anything like a controlling/possession football team. Our team is all about counter attack play to attack on the break.

Dude wtf? He literally is constantly taking on his man. Nobody is giving him a pass so he has nowhere to go with the ball

Was it just me, or on that triple chance we had, it looked like Walker-Peters clearly blocked the initial header with his arms above his head? Or maybe it was torso?

Not much focus on it to be fair, maybe it just looked that way.

Has Bruno genuinley played well in the last 2 years?

Not scoring a goal that masks a bad performance but has he genuinely played well in the past 2 years?

He is so bad on the ball its becoming a joke. He doesnt even start for Portugal anymore does he?

I'd get Ronaldo and Casemiro on. Perhaps even try three subs, Remove Elanga Bruno and McTom, bring on Ronaldo, move Rashford to the left, bring on Donny for Bruno to just keep possession more and then Casemiro for McTom. We have Eriksen playing well, I'm sure he can supply Ronnie and we just need Donny to keep the ball moving and give Bruno some time on the bench to reflect.

I'm a fan of Bruno, he may even provide a moment but he has to up his general game, we're probably missing so many chances through his mistakes.

Eriksen is having to play a lot deeper to accommodate Bruno.

    Two things!

    1. We are seriously lacking in intensity. The number of times a So'thon player has reacted quicker, more robustly and aggressive to the ball is crazy compared to ours. Bruno and Eriksen are so weak and so, it's crazy how we still persist with it. One of them is okay, two is overkill.

    2. Our central midfield is so easy to pass through. So much space between Bruno and Eriksen/McTominay. I have seen JWP get into that area unchallenged about 4 times in that first half alone. It's crazy. If the manager is not convinced by Fred as a partner to Casemiro, I'd gladly take some of the Anthony money and get a Tielemans instead. We need two decent central midfielders in there to get any kind of control in games.

Btw, they are reading our game so easily. Can't tell if that's due to us being so basic or them freakishly good.

We must be amazing because everyone is calling out almost every player in here, yet to my eyes we played well, we had better chances (and higher xG), more possession, and looked comfortable defensively. Room for improvement in the final third but people in here have insane standards after one good result, in many months.

Southampton have to pay way less than us. We get every drop squeezed out of us when we’re bargaining.

Casemiro for Bruno I think. We also need someone else up front but not sure Ronaldo is the answer.

Rashford/Elanga/Bruno have been awful. McTominay quiet in the middle but he has clearly been asked to drop in with the CBs to help defend against crosses.

What a joke of a post. This after halftime sub that was very effective just 5 days ago.

What I feared most has become a reality. We just don't have the midfield to progress the ball in the final third in a smart and reliable way. Bruno is where attacks go to die. McTominay is a no-go in that regard. We desperately need a creative CM and we are not signing one.

Do we have anyone in our squad or youth team who can play in that central spot up front? Aside from Ronaldo and Martial.

Absolutely clueless, very few players could do more without any support, he’s not receiving the ball in attacking areas and is isolated. He’s not St Maximim where he can just blitz the opponents. He’s kept the ball well, which is what we need from the attackers so help sustain pressure.

Bruno just doesn't fit into a side concerned with keeping the ball
    Feck it.

I'd bring on Garnacho for Elanga and Casemiro for Eriksen as soon as possible.
Casemiro for eriksen is a bit silly, have you not been watching Bruno?
