No, because he only scored as many goals as Phil Foden, and Foden is worse than Dusan Vlahovic, so he is still a fraud.

Or something. But Im fairly certain the poster you are attempting to summon is a performance act and not a genuine opininon
I know, he's a troll master, not easy to lure out.

He is the best player in the world now.

There i said it.

I know he hasnt step overs like R9 or dribbling like Messi.

Everyone knows what they get with him. Everyone gets it right in there faces. No matter who he plays for or who he plays against. He just keep on wrecking it all.

In terms of pure goalscoring, he's up there. His freak flying kick goal definitely shows he's not limited, but Cristiano still had those legendary screamers and free kicks. I'm not sure how much it matters though if Haaland continues like this. He's in a perfect setup and he's scoring almost 2 goals a game in the pl. Depressing really for the rest of us.
I think and fear that he'll suffer a similar fate to R9. Too big, fast and powerful for his knees to keep up. If I'm wrong, and I hope I am, he'll end up at the greatest goalscorer in football history. The bloke's a freak show.

It has and the gap is only increasing.
I think you got to give ETH time though, it’s only his 7th game and he’s had one transfer window. He’s also still got many players who need to be sold at some point over the next couple of transfer windows.

Hopefully in January we can get a striker and another right back. Then in the summer we will need to spend big again. Anything less won’t be good enough.

Jammy knees is often the cause of injury because our knees were meant to support us on four limbs. Our body has not caught up in evolution terms. But Haaland does not have the musculature that R9 had around his legs. Haaland does not seem to be the type of player to get injured, or maybe he has just been lucky since joining City.

The best in the PL, and among the best two in the world. City have hit the jackpot.
Addendum: The potential to be the best ever true 9 in the PL.

Hopefully he fecks off to PSG or Madrid soon.
He will not join Madrid unless Benzema leaves (at least one more season after this). Benzema is never going to be pushed out as he is a fan favorite but most importantly he is adored by Perez.

Ah c'mon. Dude is a great finisher and a physical specimen. His strengths and City's needs overlap beautifully. I mean, he's being spoon fed by a generational midfielder and a footballing philosophy that all but guarantees you'll have like at least 3 sitters per game. He's nowhere near to being the best footballer on the planet. That's just ridiculous. He's not even the best player on his team ffs.

Let's hope so. I remember R9 when he was still playing for Eindhoven and never got over of what he would've achieved without injuries.

He is also 34. He doesn’t have many years left in the legs
Benzema never really relied on pace. He’s like Harry Kane (a 9.5) who can also play as a wide forward. Based on his performances last season, Benz has at least 2 more seasons left.

Haaland was a crock at Dortmund. Back injuries, primarily.

Not relying on pace doesn’t make you less susceptible to aging. Especially with the current ludicrous schedule.

A players legs can go at any point, from the ritz to the rubble in no time at all.

Yea. He started playing only two months ago.

He never scored at Dortmund, Norway or Zalsburg.

He cant score unless Bruyne is there.

There were rumours about a release clause becoming active for the summer of 2024, don't know whether this has been rebuffed yet or not, but if true it certainly aligns with what his father said a couple of days ago. Can't see him staying at City for more than 3 years, he'd definitely want to play in Spain at some point and him wanting to conquer all major leagues makes sense as well.

Sure hope that's the case, even though it seems as wishful thinking at this point.

Only consolation from this point on is, if he just settles down and becomes a goal a game striker, he’ll feel a bit like a disappointment to them.

Not blaming ETH by any way. Not his fault for the incompetence that preceded him. Just saying city are growing at a faster rate.

Agreed, Ronaldo’s thigh muscles were huge, he looked like a sprint cyclist. The power that must have been going through those joints must have been crazy. He was also a naturally bigger guy (just have to see how he has ballooned after retiring).
Haaland seems naturally leaner - usain bolt if you like. Don’t think there will be too many issues with his fitness as far as I can see.

For sure, they have taken a team that would probably be in league two by now and made them into the best team in the world. Sickening really.

Read my second sentence. He's a great finisher. Let me ask you something - how much do you think Haaland has changed in these 2 months that he's been in the Premiership? Do you really think he made some crazy leap from being an excellent finisher (with world class potential) to being the best player on the planet; or are you, along with millions of Premiership fans, just wallowing in recency bias cause the man is doing exactly the same job he did in Dortmund, just 700km closer and at a shinier stage?

14 EPL goals in 8 games and on course for 30+ EPL. goals this season ( injuries permitting).
I think he could reach more than 40 in the EPL and a good number in the ECL and cup competitions.
