The United away fans are up there with the best in the world but if they start singing viva Ronaldo then I'd have to question their integrity. I think ETH has handled the situation superbly.

We might have some daft fans, but loyalty will be with the club/ETH. Hence our briefing that he refused to come on

Pretty the same here. When the season started literally the whole caf (including me) believed like maybe only 3-4 players max would fit ETH style and a whole sale change would be required. Our squad by last season proved themselves to could not even string two passes together ffs. Worse thing was they didn't even look like they'd care.

Tbh at the start I was pretty skeptical regarding ETH. He is no doubt a fantastic coach given what he did at Ajax. However managing Ajax and United are completely different stories with our so called primadonas and the bad culture of giving too much power to the players. Plus the stupid incompetent top hierarchy. Hell of a job ETH has done here I must say.
I mean if we didn't have doubts about any manager we would be foolish after what we have seen over the past few years.

It was always going to be a very difficult job, along with PSG, I would say the United job is the hardest in world football.

Which is also why it is such a exciting job as well for managers who want to challenge themselves. Ten Hag clearly has belief in his ideas and has also for the first time been backed by the club over a player.

Off the field, Ten Hag has done a very good job but on the pitch, its still very much work in progress.

I want to see some form of consistency, going into every game knowing this is how we play. The Brentford and Brighton, I can write off but I do not want to see a City type performance again.

Good, the top hierarchy backs ETH this time. They finally did a right thing to clean up a mess they created.
Very much so.

Having Woodward still in charge doesn’t bear thinking about. Though I suppose we’d had been more likely to have Poch as manager.

Doing everything right. Even if results go tits up, we're heading in the right direction and making the right calls, for once.

What a presser, he is all about setting standards. This is how you build a culture at the club.

I love how he's calm and calculated about everything he does. He never overreacts to anything and he never gets emotional in press conferences even after bad results. He's a true pro who knows what he's doing. It's very good for the players to know where they stand with their manager as well. Several players have reacted very well to being dropped once given a second chance. It's not gonna be an easy season and I hope we can be a bit patient.

At this stage a silly question but do we have an agreed chant for Ten Hag for our home matches?

Billion questions about Ronaldo, then "how frustrating is it for you that we keep asking about Ronaldo when we should be asking about top 4 and the match this weekend."

He's not bad, is he? First time in a long time that it feels we are really moving in the right direction.

We all complained that the players had too much power under previous managers but ten Hag is changing that and the club now is finally reciprocating. It’s long over due that club comes before player again and I hope everyone sees thru Ronaldo’s pathetic response on social media.

Stealing from another post and social media, but anything that can incorporate Erik ten Inch into a chant would be appropriate.

So far he has
1. Sold Pogba
2. Demoted Maguire
3. Brought in the correct players
4. Benched any player that doesn't perform
5. Coached the "uncoachable" players
6. Implemented his playstyle but also flexible to adapt
7. Made Ronaldo admit he's in the wrong even if it's hidden behind 1000 meaningless words

We have an actual boss this time. Since the board is inept and the club has been waiting for a Sir Alex kind of boss for ages now, he's the perfect person. Let him keep spending and we're in a good position.

Surprised this quote isn’t getting more attention

Journalist - With the current Ronaldo situation, do you feel your job is in danger ?

Ten Hag - Who are you talking to right now? Who is it you think you see? Do you know how much I make a year? I mean, even if I told you, you wouldn't believe it. Do you know what would happen if I suddenly decided to stop going into work? A business big enough that it could be listed on the NASDAQ goes belly up. Disappears! It ceases to exist without me. No, you clearly don't know who you're talking to.
Taking shit from no one it seems.

Top 4. I guarantee you he’s thinking about the title if we can get in a run before the break. Get to January, get a striker and let’s see

I think it’s too soon to analyse either way what’s happening on the pitch although there has been considerate improvement in certain areas.

But off the field the guy is delivering big time. Having the bollocks to publicly criticise/drop Maguire and Ronaldo (who have huge influence in the locker room ) and whom it was clear previous managers allowed way too much leeway to.

His interviews too, noting basic and lacking insight . And openly admitting he wasn’t happy with our 1-0 win over omonia.
These are really good signs and character traits.

After the Chelsea match we will have 11 matches played. Against all top six teams and also with all current top 10 teams in the table except 9th Fulham. So to the end of the round we will face teams from the places:

9,11,12,13,16,17,18,20

I do not know if that is a good thing or not. Playing like we did against Spurs with Martial instead of Rashford I am pretty sure we will crush anyone there is, but looking at our matches against teams parking the bus it was not looking good and we did strugle a lot. Thats why our best matches come against Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool, all the others were really painful to watch.

I am really excited because we look much better each game, but the question is, can we create that many chances against lesser teams and have somone to put the ball in the back of the net ?

I think having Casemiro in that kind of form he is right now to win the centre midfield battle and also to be able to pass the ball fast and directly to other players, having Antony being more and more confident and willing to get past players rather then pass it all the time. Having Bruno with all that mojo back should be enough to score 1-2 in the first halfs to open them up and finish them in the second.

I have not been this excited since forever :)

It’s crazy how easy it is to create a positive culture if you just stick to a meritocracy. Shaw said something the other week along the lines of “we now have a manager that picks people on merit and it’s not always been that way”. That blows my mind

I was oddly thinking the same. Feel he needs backing by the fans because the seagulls will be circling after the walk-out.

good on him, went up in my estimation how he's handled it. Ronaldo was wrong, he's been punished, made a public apology, we move onto next game. Even post game v Spurs, he shut down the Ronaldo issue very quickly with the press, we will deal with it tomorrow was his reply. No nonsense approach. Such a contrast to previous managers.....

I don’t think it’s possible to have a bigger crush on a manager…. Doing everything right and appears to be the one to bring the club back to the top.
The “all eras come to an end” line will be the legendary line like “knock Liverpool off their perch”

My son is nine years old and hasn’t seen United win the league ever. I can’t wait for him to experience our return to glory.

Very true, he did warn everyone after the vallecano game. You only get one chance. ETH is the boss… what a man he is. Best manager we’ve had since fergie… time to knock guardiola and klopp down a peg or 2.

surprised honestly there hasn't been any negative feedback from some of the pundits who are former players about ETH speaking publicly about it

Me looking forward seeing Gary and Roy and listening them defend him.

A lot of this is due to Ronaldo spiralling into abyss that no sane person could justify or defend.

i'm sure one of these clowns will say something but quite honestly there is really no former player who can defend what he did....it's just completely unacceptable

it also gives ETH and the club a bit of leverage if they want to release him from his contract in january if they can't find someone to take him on with his salary demands

Keane is one of his biggest fans but there’s no way he’s going to defend what Ronaldo did.
