Honestly haven´t figured out why anyone would hate him? I feel like i missed something pretty big..?
There are many reasons.

He was mentioned as being one of the leaks in the dressing room, from his pre season interview, it seems like the allegations were not far off.

He said he was promised no.1 spot and the manager / club went back on their word. If you are a top pro, who has belief in his own ability, you should let your performances do the talking rather than your mouth.

He was going to start the season as No.1, the previous season he was the choice of keeper in the PL by the end of the campaign. He got Covid and DDG produced really good performances. Its then up to Henderson to dislodge DDG.

He thinks he is this amazing keeper when in reality he is still not as good as DDG. DDG has his special traits such as shot stopping and reactions and weaknesses to play Ten Hag ball.

Henderson has the same weaknesses, he cannot play with ball at his feet.

He is at the correct club now, mid table to relegation which is probably his standard.

Nobody likes a player who tries to shit talk about the club he is contracted with. It doesn't matter if it is truth or half-truth or his version of truth.

He even came out in the interview and said he is disappointed that he will not be able to face United while on loan. Once you are out of the club, you can do all these "tell-all" interviews.

Don't need to worry about the fans hatign him, the caf is a fickle and unreasonable bunch.

When he is playing between our sticks next season (80% chance this happens imo, renewing DDG without a huge paycut is insane and we'd still have to find a way to get Henderson's contract off the books. And we are too skint to buy a new keeper), people will forget they ever hated him.

So to sum it up,

There were some rumours that he might be, or not, part of the crew leaking info, we don`t know.
He said he was unhappy about the lack of playing time. So that means he really wants to play, which is a good thing no? He has always been vocal about wanting to play a lot, forced himself out on loan while the club wanted to keep him iirc.

He is confident, which is also a good thing?
He is not a better keeper than David. Fair enough, few keepers are.

Honestly don`t think it`s enough to get worked up about?

That's your third post, not sure if you are in a position to be telling us how the caf works.

You haven't missed anything big at all. Mountains getting made out of molehills. It's all very hysterical and slightly weird in my opinion.

The best situation for us is he does well. You would think that should override the glee when he puts in a bad performance, but apparently not.
Agreed

Should hopefully get decent money for him next summer. He’s seems to avoid wider media criticism for his weaknesses.

He's one of those mid-2000s goalkeepers. Once in a blue moon he'll suddenly turn into Oliver Kahn. Today was a great day for him.

Don't like him at all and think he's a bottom half keeper at best, but I'm never going to complain about somebody keeping the scouse out like that.

Top save, Deano.

He suits a team that’s under the cosh. He can make a great save, but then he’ll inadvertently boot the ball out of play.

Even sweeter that it was a united player that played vital part in their defeat.

He was great today. Some loose kicking but top saves, commanded his area well and organised his defenders where possible. The defence couldn’t sort out their defensive line all day, so he needed to be on top form.

Fantastic save from VVD's header, but really Liverpool didn't trouble him too much all game, couple of good saves, and catches, but Liverpool teams of the past would have peppered his goal relentlessly.
One thing I did notice, he rarely came of his line for crosses from corners or free kicks, maybe he felt it was too congested in there, the way Forest set up was having a lot of players back for those set pieces.

I wonder if this is an instruction from the manager. He was doing some horrible flapping for the first several games of the season trying to be billy big bollocks and run out and claim everything.

Between that and his kicking, it's pretty funny how he basically is just a naff version of De Gea now.

Good on him.

Football is so predictable, isn't it. I would be so frustrated if I was a Liverpool fan

Yep, could be.
Yep, I feel De Gea has improved this season, apart from his mistake against Brentford.
Kicking was poor, you're right, but again, was that an instruction from the manager to look for touch in Liverpool's half.
Whatever you think of Henderson, I want him to be brilliant all season.

Perhaps he suits a Forest or Sheffield. Well done keeping the dippers out.
