I don't want to bash the guy while he's down but I still feel Maguire will cost us a goal at some point. Him and De Gea don't talk to each other
ETH has done the best job post-Fergie already for me.
Can’t articulate it rn because I’m lazy, but I just KNOW he’s the one.
Feel free to use this post against me one day (that day will never come. ETH is the one).
He’s obviously trying to play a high pressing style which just isn’t in his capabilities. Hope ETH has identified and had a word. It's always the same with him. Then he dives in missing player and ball, taking himself out of the game.
That’s quite a record to be proud of.Yeah, I've said it before but having one of your star boys be an academy graduate is a great feeling. In fact, they've just said in the stream I'm watching that for 85 consecutive years we've always had an academy graduate in the matchday squad
I said he was having a perfectly good game - if that's a hard on, I suggest taking a few less of the blue pills. and the fact that you think I've got a hard on, shows how unbalanced your view isI don't hate him either, but he hasn't been playing well for a long time so criticising people who are pointing that out doesn't make sense unless you have a hard on for Ronaldo.

Maguire is lacking confidence. Seems lost! You just know he has not been part of the team. He needs a goal to be assured of himself again else Lindelof will just walk back straight into the team when fit
Agree, putting this game to bed early in the 2nd would be another sign of progress for his team.ETH has done the best job post-Fergie already for me.

When? His best contributions today has actually been pressing actions.
that should say perfectly good. of course not perfect... but he's tracking back and pressing. not sure what else people like you want form himWtf? He's been next to useless and even ruined at least one of our counters. Perfect game my arse.
ReportedThey'll score in the 80th minute. This will end as 1-1.
Thanks for articulating it. Spot on.I completely agree. He's the most balanced of the lot in terms of where we need to be and how we plan to do it. The quality of the football is better and we're getting the right calibre of players with our transfer targets. We needed Martinez, Casemiro, and Eriksen years ago. I'm more optimistic that we can 'build' something under Ten Hag than I have been with the other managers.

He does, you can see the panic when the ball goes over his head, he starts scrambling and it puts everyone on edge.He radiates nervous energy. I want him to find himself again but it’s clear he’s still struggling.
Thought he looked a bit dazed there..Fabianski subbed off
Aside from the few pointless 5 yards passes as usual tbh the only contribution I can remember from him is when he jumped and blocked the cross at our right wing. He didn't even win a single bloody header. No goal threat no link up no fecking nothing.Never try to argue with Diva no7 fanboys
This is true. We are immensely proud of it. As we should be!Yeah, I've said it before but having one of your star boys be an academy graduate is a great feeling. ExactlyThere wasn't anyone with 10m of that pass. Who was he trying to pass to there?
That ball was absolutely shite, no idea what he was trying to doMaguires's passing is scandalous
Ball playing CB they saidMaguires's passing is scandalous
I didn't mean "perfect". I meant perfectly good, which to me means OK. not great but not bad as some are sayingDisagree with that. He had a couple of good moments where he collected the ball and turned but was pretty below average in the rest.
Pressing is all over the place, many times a nicely setup 4v4 became a 4v3 because he just stopped running and closing off the passing angles.
Poor choices in a couple of dangerous moments (pass to Rashford, once when he was 1v1 on the byline) and a couple of mis-controls.
Did well there, expected him to hoof it just before it went outGood defending by Maguire.
I’d keep Elanga on for tracking back rather than threat up front it pains to me to say.
Such a steal, the rest of the league must be kicking themselves for letting us get him so easy
And it seemed like only United and Brentford really tried to sign him. Strange that Tottenham did not do anything. But I do remember how skeptical many United fans were, when we signed him; "He is an okay rotation player, I guess" ;-)
