I get the feeling a few fans haven't taken to Antony yet which is a shame but in some ways it's kind of understandable given the fee. I just think there's so much more to come from him and I really like what i've seen so far.

If you haven't noticed, you get shouted down for saying anything remotely positive about Ronaldo on here nowadays.

It's almost as if fans at OT have a completely different perspective. His name is sung loudly at every home game.
Fans at OT should be supporting the players so good on them for cheering on Ronaldo. Considering he disrespected the club and fans after the best performance of the season so far, not surprising online fans are less forgiving.

He was definitely on my mind, but licha has shown more and i have a deeper connection with rashy. If the list was longer he'd be there, love him

Honestly I like the majority of players including Antony, I love that guy. We have very few players in the squad that I don't like at this point

Licha nailed on number 1. How can you not love him?

Then Eriksen, Casemiro, Antony. Basically all the ones that weren't here in the last couple of seasons where it looked like they downed tools.

A little sad to see how many here pick two or three players who have only been at the club for a couple of months. Reeks of purple patch bias, which to be fair is the epitome of the caf
Is it? Players like Martinez and Casemiro clearly understand what it means to be a United player and that will endear them to fans.

wow, what a textbook example of misleading and selective argumentation.

We went to third. And you might want to look at the points situation (4 pts ahead of Newcastle in 14th, 6 pts out of 4th place and 13 pts behind Leicester in 3rd) when he signed. And consider the fact we went undefeated with the best record in the league for the rest of the season.
Selective like attributing the entire improvement to one player? Nothing to do with players coming back from injury and games played behind closed doors? Or selective like ‘two seasons’ and ‘mind blowing’ his first season was half a season and his second season was nothing like mind blowing from January to the end of the season in fact his performances generally ranged from average to poor and we were hearing the ‘tired’ excuses regularly. He scored quite a few penalties, didn’t win any of them, had 4 assists and 3 non penalty goals from January to May yet was ‘mind blowing’ and the reason we finished 2nd?

Marcus Rashford

No question my favourite. Not only has he been much better on the pitch this season, he's a fantastic role model. He's also an academy product too, which is always a bonus.

Lisandro Martinez

Everything he does screams passion. Wears his heart on his sleeve. Not only that but he's a bloody good defender, too. Positioning, aerial duels, timing, passing - he's got the lot.

Scott McTominay

This won't be a popular vote but for me, players who show 100% passion and fight for the club I love gets my vote. He's a bit of a hard man too, which is always good to see against the opposition. See Arsenal this season, for example. Think he'll learn a lot from Casemiro.

Bruno? He had 16 g/a in one of our worst seasons. Around the same as Bernardo Silva.
But if you play as a striker while put on paper as a midfielder in a team that lacks substance in midfield, which imo was the case in too many games, people will get tired of your action even if they lead to the occasional goal. Bernardo actually added to midfield, even when he was placed on one of the winger positions. In that sense (+ skill level, of course) I would prefer Bernardo without much thought and can understand why people think it's weird to criticize Rashford for not doing his job well, but then putting Bruno in your top 3 for not doing his job either.

Speaking of which,

Martinez, Martial, Wan Bissaka/Fred

And yes, it's mostly based on favorites, I know AWB and Fred will probably not be the player of the season any time soon.

Fred

The reasons are mostly consistent, they all have the attitude on the pitch that translates to endeavour and work-rate. In Fred's case I admire the fact he always battles back from people constantly doubting him. They're all good players which is mandatory, attitude has to be combined with talent. If you had 11 players showing what these guys show you wouldn't be far wrong.

Martinez, Casemiro, Antony.

Speaks volumes about the squad pre this summer's transfers.

Rashford - glad to see him back in form and despite all the cynicism here about his off-the-pitch stuff, does seem like a decent lad.
Eriksen - great story coming back from almost dying on the pitch. And a baller, closest thing we've had to later Scholes since he retired.
Martial - an old guilty pleasure, fantastic footballer on form. Just needs to stay fit.

Martinez, Dalot and De Gea in no particular order. Crazy amounts of passion and team ethic on the pitch. Poor Varane misses out through no fault of his own.

It's good that not only can we all name our 3 favourite players, we're also struggling to decide who to leave out.
I love this team

Martinez - obvious
Can't choose between Martial and Varane. Whoever isn't injured at a particular moment

For their mature, no-nonsense personalities compared with good footballing skills

Varane would make my list if he is not injured that much.
