What a car crash of an interview. I don't really understand what's happening with Ronaldo. Even in the National team, his attitude has been rubbish. I also don't understand his connection with a prick like Piers Morgan, although it can be telling regarding his personality. At this point, I think he should go to the MLS. It is objectively very funny that he thinks the most sympathetic route is to say the new manager, whose played him loads throughout a prolonged spell of bad form, started him in our first two games after missing all of pre-season, dealt with all the drama surrounding him pretty well and always sought to de-escalate it and even made him captain last week, has “no respect for him” and has treated him badly…

He’s not forcing anything, it’s already in process. All he’s trying to do here is gain some fan backing and burn his bridges with the owners and management so that he can sign for whatever club promises to start him every week, and that doesn’t play with any kind of pressing.
