Using the death and illness of his own children in order to score orchestrated cheap shots against his employer. Jesus.

Morally bereft in every sense.

United can easily end his career. Just leave him on the stands until summer and no selfrespecting club would sign a 38 year old with a huge salary and no match fitness for more than half a year.
It's his last attempt to leave United, to give you guys no other choice than to kick him out and even better probably pay him a fine for breaking the contract. His narcissism got the better of him sadly. Probably also because he has only yea-sayers around him and not a single person in his family/close friends with balls to criticize him.

@RedRonaldo what do you think of his 2nd stint here now mate?
Apparently It’s was bad, but that’s only normal when we decided to sign 36-37 year old striker to play in most physically demanding league in the world, in a team which need a complete rebuild.

But I wouldn’t change my stance regarding him and our team last season - It was mostly a collective problem and he has done his job well as PL top 3 goalscorer in a disjointed team with no proper service.

This season though he has clearly declined to a level not suitable to start PL games week in week out for us, and become too much of distract for the rebuild of this club. I am 100% with ETH this season.

Yep. I think his quotes about Rangick etc. solidifies it, especially since the wording is very similar to the stories the press were leaking at the time.

It makes you think that a lot of what the press were reporting at that time was probably true.

Still convinced this interview was done at the start of the season too.
I hate to be that guy but to me it was pretty obvious that most of what they were reporting had something behind it. Most people who haven't got the blinkers on were aware that Ronaldo is a complete egomaniac, and your colleagues are only going to put up with that as long as you're also completely brilliant at what you do.

I just cannot believe what a colossal waste of time this transfer has been. I'd say the biggest positive to come from it is that it may well have indirectly led to Ten Hag's appointment, as I truly do not believe that last season would've gone so badly wrong for Ole had Ronaldo not been signed.

Ignoring the other bits, he once claimed to be a slave and tried forcing a move from us turning his back and *betraying* us, now he feels betrayed because he feels certain players/ managers are trying to push him out? Not sure what the difference is there to be honest. Clearly has a huge ego and that's ok in my book as I think you need it to get to the top but he doesn't have the same sway on the pitch anymore to justify it, I'd gladly see him get his move and save us the money if we bring a replacement in January.

Piers Morgan of all people.

I mean, couldn’t he have done what normal pros do and leak his discontent to the Athletic. Utter disgrace and I can only assume his end toll is contract termination

Business’s don’t like losing money

6 months of Ronaldo doing nothing sat in the stands is basically losing out on £12 million for no reason

might as well just terminate

Hes been nothing but an arsehole since the start of the season. Was looking to leave, no pre season. Then wonders why he wasnt starting. 500k a week for performances that anyone else would have been sent to the reserves for the rest of the season, yet he kept being given another go. TH doesnt respect him? Its the other way around. He was made captain a fortnight after refusing to come on, so how does he explain that? The only thing right he said is calling out the state of the facilities.
The board should say mutual termination of contract, or sit in the dressing room every match day left. The club shouldnt just pay him off.
Bruno should tell him that old adage, there is no I in team.

When you terminate a contract you pay up what is owed so it’s the same amount either way. That’s why situations like Ozil happen

After a night's sleep, Ronaldo really shouldn't have done an interview in such a manner. However, a lot of people say he earns a lot of money and therefore should fall in line. Ronaldo has always been a proud player, obviously there must have been some things going on in the background which are rather unpleasant and that can't be all on Ronaldo.

It's the easy thing to do to paint one person as the villain. Ronaldo will be gone soon enough and then we'll see whether United can put forward a claim to compete for the championship. Over the course of the season there's been the clear message that United are better without Ronaldo, we'll see whether they can win something meaningful or not with him gone.

One thing for sure people can't accuse Ronaldo of is him not caring. But he did himself no favours taking aim at so many different things.

The absolute worst thing about all of this is he did it with Piers Morgan, even typing that name make me want to punch my laptop to bits

If I were utd I would drop him to the reserves, and the the fecker rot there, or even on a beach in Portugal, I would not release him in January

Yes we can. He announced he wanted out at pre season, left games at HT at the end of pre season, refused to come on for Spurs and now gave a dumbass interview about not respecting the manager.

He doesn't give two shits.

Legacy completely ruined. Our club showed huge respect for him and what we've got? It's we've been betrayed not him. The club becomes a total joke now. Get rid of him.

The Club shouldn’t have to pay him off to terminate his contract

surely he’s brought the club into disrepute which gives them a green light to rip things up and boot him out

Ronaldo is all about himself and his brand. Always has been. He had a great personal relationship with SAF, but he doesn't care about United in the same way.

Just leave already Ronnie.

Mate we haven't even terminated Greenwood's contract. No way we can terminate Ronaldo's for free

Pretty much spot on. The club should have got rid in the summer.

If Ronaldo was starting every game and scoring at a decent rate, there's simply no way he'd do this interview.

He's done this interview, because for the first time in his career, he's no longer looking like a top player after getting to the top and most of the footballing world is realizing it.

If Mason is still a United player then no? It’s not as if he’s legally done anything wrong here, you don’t have to back your club 100 percent in everything they do.

United didn't win anything with him, and were 6th place (with the worst points total in the Premier league era) with him. It's ridiculous to suggest that United need to win the league or compete for the title, or the assertion that United are better without him isn't true. United just have to do better than they did last season, and I'm willing to bet they will be, by a margin.

Also, people certainly can accuse some who missed pre season, left matches at half time, refused to be subbed on and left the stadium while a match was going on, of not caring.

No idea where you're going with as the "villain" bit. Sounds like a bunch of strawman arguments and just comes across as silly.

Exactly. It's funny watching people trip over their own feet, defending him, that they spout stuff that's easily refutable.

Can you send the video which confirms your claims? All i know is that journos speculated all summer on why he's missing out on the season tour.

It takes two to tango, why doesn't Ronaldo respect the manager? Just because he's a prick or is there more to the story? We don't know how Ten Haag acted around Ronaldo. According to Ronaldo he's been made the black sheep, doesn't have to the truth, but Ten Haag could have also treated him unfairly, who knows. Personally, i wouldn't dismiss everything Ronaldo says.

Anyone saying let him rot in the stands isn’t thinking clearly, why waste millions if he’s willing to part immediately on some sort of terms?

He’s been wank, all season, genuinely some embarrassing performances, he’s not coming back to bite us, no real team would take him on anyway.

If we release him, yes that’s what he wants but isn’t it what we want too? He’s never playing for us again anyway, I’d quite like to laugh at him trying to let his body keep up with his mind in someone else’s team.
