yeah that’s a good point you make about it hurting more when it’s a player we’ve taken real pride in the fact he’s played for United. Having seen him play and score and given great memories. He’s tarnished that. I suppose it’s like really falling out with a friend or family that there’s no coming back from as opposed to someone you never cared about to compare Ronaldo and DiMaria. That is true . I had happily forgotten all about him for a while. But the Ronaldo situation hurts more because he came to us at such a young age and will probably be the best player ever to be at the club.
He hates that football's a business remember, so it's just one of those things.Nft, wax, LV, all within a week after the interview. Mmhhh
Mason Greenwood is still taking a huge wage from Manchester United.Did some folk miss the bit where he openly criticised his manager in public while still taking a huge wage from Manchester united?
I feel this has become somewhat lost and yet remains the only thing that actually matters here.
You think you're bigger than the Manchester united manager, then you deserve everything that's coming to you.
Someone pays me hundreds of grand a week to play football and I’d go on in a tutu if they wantedWhat's the cut off point where coming on for the last 3 minutes is an insult rather than doing your job?
And all he wants is the quiet life? Go home, cup of tea, bed by 9?Fecking Glazers obsessed with marketing. Causing Ronaldo to put his face on Times Square and sell ludicrously expensive handbags promoted by #CR7.
Sounds like a ploy. Leave us in limbo then back away from the deal to cause further disarray.Tweet

Poor Graham Potter...
Exactly. The club would be exhibiting pre-ETH levels of bad judgement if they interpreted Chelsea's interest as a reason to u-turn on releasing him (ronaldo surely won't actually play for us again, come what may)...though I still think this Chelsea link is more paper-conjecture clickbait than anything elseSounds like a ploy. Leave us in limbo then back away from the deal to cause further disarray.
Just sack him, he'll damage Chelsea if he goes there.
And visit me at Madam Tussauds.Man United only care about marketing here buy this Luis Vuitton suitcase and don't forget my NFT on sale soon only on Binance
Fair, however, fans can be forgiven for being emotional and living for banter, they're not professionals. A serious organisation shouldn't.We shouldn't gloss over the fact that the majority of this forums users appeared to be over the moon that Utd appeared to gazzump City in signing him.
There is no such thing as a U21 team anymore if the tweet was in any way true it would have realised that we have U18 and U23 now.
Surely he'll fit in their 4-4-3 formationSurely Chelsea aren’t that thick?
Catch 22 ?Tweet

Poor Graham Potter...
And us getting an actual transfer fee with no legal hassleCatch 22 ?
Him going to Chelsea is another positive to him leaving.
One less top 4 competitor to worry about. In fact Arteta should get him on the phone as well since he wants Arsenal to win the league if we won't, maybe he'd help them achieve that. Personally though, I reckon he'd also manage to somehow make Arsenal finish below us by the end of the season.
Oy, feck me.
I didn’t think they played 4-3-3?Surely he'll fit in their 4-4-3 formation
You missed the 4-4-3 reference? Boehly allegedly suggested it to Tuchel.I didn’t think they played 4-3-3?
Mate even if he goes for free. Let him go. He's just going to be another Aubameyang with more drama for them, getting his wages off the books and him out of our club is the best we can do.And us getting an actual transfer fee with no legal hassle
Piers Morgan first interviewed him a couple of years ago in Turin. Since that interview he has been a Cristiano cock sucker. What happened off camera during that interview is anyone's guess.I watched an interview Piers Morgan did with Jordan Peterson recently and Morgan mentioned many times about Ronaldo, the greatest player ever, Cristian- the best player to ever kick a ball, Ronaldo blah blah blah. I thought it strange at the time- not that Peterson had spoken with Ronaldo but the love in that Morgan had with him- as an Arsenal fan as well. Well it all makes sense now, they’d already done the Ronaldo interview.
Yes I'd like him to be gone too. What's your point?Mason Greenwood is still taking a huge wage from Manchester United.
This is a legal issue, I’m not sure what point you’re trying to makeMason Greenwood is still taking a huge wage from Manchester United.
AgreedThe hostile responses to the OP in this thread are hilarious in retrospect. Just a reminder of how many delusional know-nothings there are sounding off around here.
The moderators should unlock it so everyone can apologise to @Rajma who was completely right about every single thing he said, and then they should apologise for locking it.
this ... is not that funny thoughTweet

Sorry, but you couldn’t be more wrong. We were putrid not because of Ronaldo, but because of a lot of shit Ole allowed to fester. I personally give De Gea more credit for saving our season from the unthinkable, but Ronaldo was the only outfield player who put in a decent shift last season. He kept us in the top half of the table when everyone else was dropping turd after turd.No he didn't. He was the partial solution to the problems he caused. We were better before he arrive.
I'm bemused that people still don't get this. For every goal he scored he cost us between 1 and 2 others. If we had a decent coach and an amazing squad it could have just about been papered over. But we did not.
Tevez wasn’t at United till late 2007. Ronaldo was already balling for more than a year at this point. Check data from that time, Rooney was in the box a lot more and on the ball less than Ronaldo. This just isn’t true at all. By the time he kicked on the front 3 of Rooney, Tevez and Cristiano were very fluid, in fact I’d argue that the former two were actually in position on the right wing during the match than the latter.
Who got more assists is also irrelevant, if Rooney’s movement is creating the space for Cristiano to attack (as it did)
Tbh I’m still processing a lot of it. I was pretty surprised he would so unashamedly call his ex teammates rats, etc. I was also surprised at how little he could accept any form of criticism. He somehow still seems to think he’s the best in the world when that isn’t really the case anymore. He definitely lives in his own bubble a little and some of the other stuff he said/gloated about during the interview just came off as cringe, especially with Piers constantly sucking up to him throughout the entire thing.Agreed. Was magic those last few years.
In a broader sense though, could you paint a picture of what your take on Ronaldo is now after all this @MrEleson ? I know you definitely used to be a fan (same could be said for all of us, but you more recently than most)
Covering:
- Performances
- Professionalism
- Has Erik ten Hag done him wrong?
- His future
- His level
Perhaps but surely everything that has happened in recent months has to have had an impact. I just can’t see how his level could’ve dropped so much in under a year without any external factors playing a role.@MrEleson
it’s just all excuses.
he hasn’t looked distracted, he’s just getting old.
his legs aren’t under him anymore, he’s not able to get away from defenders like he used to. his shooting is failing him.
of course in the short term he’s going to blame that on circumstances, but he can’t hide behind that forever.
