One day Ronnie will be gone and then we'll see where it all goes. Will the team then suddenly start competing for the premiership or continue scraping by? All in all Ronnie is the big bad and with him gone all will be rosy. ;)

For me it's blown out of proportion. He shouldn't have done what he did and because of that will most likely lose his job. However, the line 'he doesn't respect the coach', he added 'because the coach doesn't respect him' has often been left out. It's not all on the player, sometimes it doesn't work out between two people.

After the dust has settled, me thinks people won't be as negative towards Ronaldo like atm. :nervous:
Trouble with Ronaldo is what does he mean by the coach doesn't respect him. Him not being in the team every week without question? What does he mean? ETH doesn't call him sir?

Which was shown to.be complete nonsense . Even if it wasn't you never cry this to the media if you see yourself as a professional.

Yes we should have also stuck with Moyes because our failings after him make him competent.

One thing is for sure - posters like you will enjoy us not doing well so they can gleefully roll around in a steam of Ronaldo posters claiming he was just saying it like is.

Funny that, he doesnt care what people think, yet his interview was mostly about what people think of him.
And he's daft enough to give such an interview not expecting Portugal players to be asked about it.

I used to look up to this guy. He can feck right off. I can’t believe how arrogant he is even at 37 when he is no longer in the top 10 best players in the world.

He’s not in the top 10 players at Manchester United anymore. Not even close.

The arrogance really is stunning.

I'm not sure Ronaldo knows how the media works, it's not a personal social media platform to dicuss your issues, if you make a huge fuss then what do you expect to happen?

This is the pampered millionaire cnut version of "had the worst day" post of Facebook followed by "DM me babe" when someone responds, just crying for attention, just only when it suits them.

Eugh.

You can guarantee the first question the next Portuguese player will receive is ‘what do you think about Ronaldo sticking up for you in the media?’

Just like Elon, he's got a legion of fanboys always all too willing to lick his arse and defend his every move

I also think he has an army of paid accounts (probably by his agent and not directly himself) supporting him by default. Not just for this specific interview of course. They have always been there to support the brand. It is sad, but this is the reality. I am pretty sure there are some in Redcafe as well. But this is the reality of social media.

I was just going to say that the journalists should make sure every player asked at least one Ronaldo interview question for wums sake

He wasn't in the linup week in week out, was he? There have been times where he was on the bench. Most likely, he only returned because of injuries.

I'm furthermore unsure whether it's only about game time. Could also be the case that the atmosphere within in the training camp has been frosty from day one. Ronaldo said that some people from the club wanted him out. Not only out of the lineup, but out of the club.

Everyone has to look out for himself, at least a little bit. The way the interview has been done has left an unpleasant taste, sure. Apart from that you can't accept all things. No one knows what happened behind the scenes. There have been some people, e.g. Geordie on his show 'theKickoff' who have been talking for some time that Ten Haag doesn't seem too big a fan of Ronaldo. Just the vibes he's been given towards him. Doens't mean it has to be true, though. Just people having different perception of things.

Moyes doesn't have a history of winning big things, has he? I'm not saying Ronaldo should continue. All i'm saying is it's all blown out of proportion. The problems United have when it comes to performing aren't solely down to Ronaldo.

For a start, for me Ronaldo hasn't been playing in his best position. I've never seen him perform to a good enough standard when occupying the no.9 role. He's got to play on the left. For the life of me i can't understand why he's never been playing there. First season at Juve he played there quite well. If he can't run after 60 minutes, he's gotta be taken off, though.

Well done on missing the point. Where we go from here has no bearing on the acceptability of Ronaldo's behavior or his performances. Nothing is solely down to anyone. He's been atrocious on both fronts this year though.

 In the PL you cannot field a left winger who can hardly run. Why on earth should we play him there and then take him off when we have better players? Seems like you're making excuses.

Got to give it to you, his cult members, you're persistent however your arguments are silly and of comedy value.

Oh and also last few years he's been playing as a number 9 yet that's not his best position apparently.
Mental.

I missed that one. Trust them to manage to find the pundit whose up Ronaldo's and been overly negative about ETH.

You know the show is alright. I quite like it. But TG's take on all things United and Ronaldo are aboslutely terrible and heavily loaded.
Yeah, I just meant apparently he's been talking about a vibe and so on, maybe he's a body language expert for all I know.

Ronnie's been called a bad apple. Surely when you remove that, things have to get better, otherwise what's the point?

Ronaldo doesn't have any holdup play, it's similar to Lukaku. Therefore he can't play as the sole striker. You play your best attackers as close to the goal as possible. Football doesn't have to be a game exclusively for marathon runners. It's up to the coach to find a system that fits your best players. Mourinho said something similar recently. If you play Ronaldo as the no.9, you deserve everything you get.

Sure, you can bench him. But then things have to be better. We'll see whether that's the case after next season. Just scrapping by to get top 4 is an absolute embarrassment for a club such as United.

he's a fecking football player at the end of the day.

He can feck off and do a Kardashian type show as soon as is possible

I am starting to hate him.

I was intially happy when we signed Cristiano in 2021 but a few months later changed my mind and hoped we would buy a new centre-forward and release him in the summer
As it has proved that is easier said than done...

It still amazes me that so many fans advocated him to be Captain last year :wenger:

Will be interesting to see how the manager handles this situation now.
I'm hoping he ends this circus..

Ronaldo isn't our best player though. The best left wing option this season is playing on the left and is our best scorer. And things have been better when Ronaldo is benched, significantly better.

We really need to sort this Ronaldo thing out before the world cup ends. It's important.

Let Portugal deal with the fallout and media questioning and scrutiny. We don't want the world cup to end and in ETHs first press conference this whole issue isn't sorted and all we're asked about is Ronaldo.

Let him leave for free and ETH to tell the media Ronaldo is done at this club, I will only answer questions about my team. End of.
