Sometimes it's just more comfortable sticking with what you know. At least, that's what I think Martinez thinks. He hasn't got the courage to change things.
 
This one goes down as a Morocco victory much more than a Belgium cluster. Absolutely masterful.

Morocco absolutely deserve respect and they've played very well to win this game. Massive performance from them, particularly that second half, and they showed great attacking intent. Worked very hard for that win.

At the same time, Belgium have massively underperformed...again. They've started slow, tried to bumble their way through, and haven't changed things for the better when they can see that things are not working. They never looked like scoring, when they absolutely have to perform in games like this.

All of that can be true.

Never understand why teams change tactics when winning in the majority of situations, you're winning for a reason, why change things? This game is a perfect example of not needing to change it when 1-0 up.
 
I hope Croatia beats us 5-0 or something. If that doesn't get rid of Martinez, I don't know what will. The turd that won't flush.

Belgiums 'golden generation' is finished. Last world cup was their chance, how you still have Vertonghen and Aldeiwereld starting in 2018 is beyond me.

It's not even a surprise, I had Morocco and Croatia going through pre tournament.

Maybe because the opponents are going to throw the kitchen sink at you and you need to adapt.
 
Morocco have been excellent today. Fair play to them they put everything they had on the pitch and had the quality to make that effort count.

Get the feck in. My sincere apologies to all Belgians in this forum but I absolutely despise your team and here's hoping Croatia will put into bed all talks of Belgium's 'golden generation' once and for all.

Fair enough.

Belgium looked toothless going forward. In 2018, they showed more heart and energy. Today, they had no ideas, especially in the second half.

Yeah, Belgium really came into the game after 1-0 didn't they?

They come at you (or as you say, through the kitchen sink) because you allow them to because you have changed the tactics to sit deep. There is a reason why the team is 1-0 up in the first place, you're controlling the game. Unless the opposition start to come out with something different that gives them more control you really shouldn't be changing things.

You don't see Man City / Liverpool changing tactics when they go 1-0 up do you, there's a reason why these teams get a lot of 3+ goal games.
