A chance is never as big as you think it is. Based on frequency of similar chances being scored historically essentially. So pens are like 0.76 (or around that) as that's the percentage of pens that are scored. A 0.2 xG chance is a big chance, but big chances aren't necessarily scored often. Headers, first time shots, height of shot, defence pressure etc all things that reduce xG.

Fair comment but Wales do have a fairly realistic scenario where they can qualify by beating England 1-0 so they will obviously be trying, but leaving that aside it is also the international equivalent of a derby game so the form book goes out of the window. To put it in PL terms it will be like all those delightful United games against Burnley where they turned into game raising cnuts. Obviously the difference here is I am supporting the game raising cnuts.
