Nope the ball was in. The problem for most is the fact it's a sphere so it's misleading from a few angles.
Yeah the angles we've always used. Impossible for a linesman to get an over the ball view.

Honestly, Sane, Mitoma and Doan put you to the sword just by being capable of running really fast. That does not bode well, especially when you project to face Leao in the QF and either France or England in the SF....I was convinced that it was out but looking at that shot from above it looks like it was the right decision.
On the one hand I can't imagine the players planning the defeat, it doesn't seem right to me, but on the other hand the succession of passes at the end...
We played a shit game but because of those final minutes I'm left wondering what version we'll see against Morocco.
I expected more from Balde, and he should have rested more players, Pedri or Gavi.
Busquets needs more help in the middle

The view of the linesman doesn't change the physical position of the ballYeah the angles we've always used. Impossible for a linesman to get an over the ball view.
That's why it went to VAR and not the linesman to have the final sayYeah the angles we've always used. Impossible for a linesman to get an over the ball view.
I see. Guess we deserve it then. Ha!I had the misfortune of saying that a woman posted in the WC babes thread looked like my girlfriend, I'm paying the price ever since.
It was a tad risky but the end justifies the means. Is this a joke?
Costa Rica could've put them out. The results were unfavored for Spain up until 73 minutes. It was a coin toss until 85", they literally had no control over the other match.
In another alt universe, you would call them a coward.
The linesman have a good angle when they're at the corner spot, that's not the issue.Yeah the angles we've always used. Impossible for a linesman to get an over the ball view.
Come on, use some critical thinking here.Yeah the angles we've always used. Impossible for a linesman to get an over the ball view.

Wait what witchcraft is this? The ball has changed from an Adidas to a Mitre.FIFAs VAR quality has dropped but conclusive evidence that…
… Germany are out.

It doesn't matter one bit how you look at the ball. Where the ball is matters. And its circumference still touched the line. The side view is the one we've always used. Sticking a camera over the ball to give a different perspective is nonsense.
This is FIFA revenge for standing tall with our mouths covered.Come on, use some critical thinking here.
Why do these brainiacs keep tweeting these things as if their realization that a football ball is in fact a sphere is some sort of groundbreaking discovery. Everyone fecking knows that it was just hard to see.FIFAs VAR quality has dropped but conclusive evidence that…

Which is precisely why it went to VAR. Are you being deliberately obtuse?Yeah the angles we've always used. Impossible for a linesman to get an over the ball view.

Brilliant angle analogy.Which is precisely why it went to VAR. Are you being deliberately obtuse?
Can they play in midfield 2?Glad to see the caf brushing up on their high school geometry.
Spheres. How do they work?
WTFThe side view is the one we've always used. Sticking a camera over the ball to give a different perspective is nonsense.
It doesn't look good, noHonestly, Sane, Mitoma and Doan put you to the sword just by being capable of running really fast. That does not bode well, especially when you project to face Leao in the QF and either France or England in the SF....
You play to the whistle not the linesman, goal would have still stood.Consider this: linesman actually flagged for goal kick. Without VAR, Germany are through right now
This is masterful trolling, tbf.The side view is the one we've always used. Sticking a camera over the ball to give a different perspective is nonsense.
Is there seriously people here who think that spain was in control? Maybe they were in the last 15mn once germany had a 4-2 lead, they weren't before that, they just sucked at attacking. It was a tad risky but the end justifies the means.
I assume you didn't study mathematics or engineering at school. The side view is the one we've always used. Sticking a camera over the ball to give a different perspective is nonsense.
Because people like Neville and other pundits don't understand what is a sphere and all other shit. Why do these brainiacs keep tweeting these things as if their realization that a football ball is in fact a sphere is some sort of groundbreaking discovery. Everyone fecking knows that it was just hard to see.
Top down view shows it's in though.
Oh boy.The side view is the one we've always used. Sticking a camera over the ball to give a different perspective is nonsense.
Are you trolling? The side view is the one we've always used. Sticking a camera over the ball to give a different perspective is nonsense.
The point is these decisions haave always been adjudicated from a side view perspective. Suddenly we've decided to take the view from over the ball, because one angle may show the ball possibly in.Which is precisely why it went to VAR. Are you being deliberately obtuse?
. I hope you are just sarcasticThe side view is the one we've always used. Sticking a camera over the ball to give a different perspective is nonsense.
A flat earther. Is there seriously people here who think that spain was in control? Maybe they were in the last 15mn once germany had a 4-2 lead, they weren't before that, they just sucked at attacking.

Nope. Call on the pitch was goal kickYou play to the whistle not the linesman, goal would have still stood.
