Griezmann was even better than Mbappe today, he’s in very fine form for the NT. They’ll go far and it seems the curse of reigning champions will be broken

Their squad talent is ridiculous.

Unreal talent theyve been firing out feels like since the 90s

Heavy contenders. Comfortable second favourites after Brazil judging from what I've seen so far.

Yeah not even sure Argentina can trouble them in that side of the draw either

The game against Tunisia will be an important workshop to fix that RB position.
Neither Pavard or Kounde seem to be the solution. One is bound to get beat and the other is a red card waiting to happen.
Who could have known selecting 15 CB would cause issues...

Magnificent team so far. Well balanced, talented, solid. The wingers are deadly for opponents. Solid challengers for the trophee

That would be really weird if he came back and sent Giroud to the bench.

It's odd, L'equipe is reporting that he's going back to training with Real squad on thursday. It's weird that he isn't with the france group, considering he's still part of the squad.

That will be incredible. I hope he makes it, this is definitely his last World Cup and after he has been frozen out for years, that would be a stunning comeback.

Obviously Mbappe and Giroud are taking all the headlines but i've been really impressed with Griezmann's role in this World Cup. The fecker doesn't stop running.

It's crazy they got to the final with mostly their second string players. Mbappé should be around for the next one, but they will most likely lose the likes of Griezmann, Varane, Pogba, Giroud etc for the next one. I think they will be fine in Central defence and midfield but the attack is looking a bit weaker. But knowing France a new world class attacker will emerge in time.

Hats off to France for putting up a great defence of their title. 2-0 then 3-2 down and to make 3-3 was just incredible.

Why were they so poor until the 80th minute (and no shot on goal until the 70th minute)? Was the virus thing confirmed? Argentina were fantastic but something did seem very wrong with the French. Credit to them for fighting back so well.

It must be the virus that works for only 70-80 minutes because after that they played like possessed.

Did you see Varane collapse and need helped from the pitch in extra time? The virus definitely took a toll on some players but the french showed great heart to battle back and ultimately lost because Lloris, a bit like DeGea, is hopeless at penalties.
