Given the history, this was a fairly easy 90 minutes. They may have shed quite a few of their thugs as they went down into the Championship, but I was a bit worried with the potential aerial bombardment. None of that really.

Rashford continues his excellent form. And Dubravka makes me think Heaton is probably the better keeper, despite his age.
Yep could have been a different story had it gone this way, particularly with Case at CB. That said, was comfy.

Dubravka is a liability, even in his previous game, surely we can try out an young keeper than waste a squad space

AWB - great tackle assist, decent showing, still same ol issues with defensive positioning, guess it's going to have to be him since Dalot picked up the injury that no one is reporting clearly on

CBs were ok for the most part

Malacia - steady eddy without any big contributions

McTom - When we signed Case, he put in some really competent passing performance but he has now returned back to type with the poor passing and low technical ability

Garnacho - Yung and learnin', could have had 2 goals in 1st 25 minutes

Martial - Forward line more fluid with him than with CR37, but we already knew that, let's hope he stays fit for the rest of the season.

Casemiro bossed centre back apart from that late misplaced pass.
To have that passing ability from CB really helped us tonight.
Very comfortable all things considered.
Awb did well but his first touch is still dodgy. McT was poor gave the ball away so many times.
Garnacho got into some great positions just needs to learn to calm down when he is through on goal.
Pretty happy with that!

Where did Sky find those pair of muppets.
Dreadfull commentary.
Never once did they big Casemiro up, who was a beast tonight.

That was grand, first game back. Entertaining enough, created a good few chances. Shame Bruno will miss the next game. We start Christmas run with a win, happy days.

We need more options for central midfield, our build up just died at Mctominays feet all game.
Garnacho was well off the pace this time. Rashford is for sure starting next game on the left.

Did anyone not notice Mctominay hiding in midfield when center backs had the ball? He ran in behind the Burnley players constantly so he couldn't be passed the ball? Overall though an easy win really. Still like to see us punishing these sides more.

Good win. That was a potential banana skin and we played quite well at times. Hopefully we can carry that momentum through to Forest

Very, very good win. The clean sheet is the highlight, thanks to Casemiro's class.

Great goal by Rashford as well and the first goal wasn't too shabby

Rashford with a goal R9 would have been proud of.

Bruno was poor as was McT.

Keeper was just car crash.

7/10 performance

I thought it'd be a real struggle tonight.

Burnley are getting promoted this season and they're a good side, plus I thought we'd be very rusty and disjointed first game back. Burnley have already had 2 or 3 games to get back into rhythm.

So a fairly comfortable win with two fantastic goals is great.

Job well done.

I hope Martial has a good rest of the season otherwise it's going to be very frustrating. He is still an "almost" player for me. He almost gets a good shot off, he almost makes good passes, he almost has a nice first touch to start a play, and he almost makes the right decisions.

- AWB looked good except for falling a sleep and not following his runner.
- McT was typical
- Bruno was his usual self giving the ball away and making nice plays
- I'm not sure I want to see the keeper again.
- Why didn't Garnacho take a touch to get in front of the defender?

After the WC it was nice to see predictable and consistent officiating.

Nice set up for the league returning next week. The performance was generally positive, we weren’t under too much pressure outside of our own mistakes. Enjoyed the displays of Casemiro, Rashford and Eriksen. Two fabulous goals, especially Rashford’s. Not convinced with the goalie though.

Hope we get an easy draw for the quarter finals. A trophy, even the league cup, would be a great start for the new era.

Somebody must have had a word with ten Hag. He now finishes his interviews with "You're welcome" rather than his usual "...please!"

Hope we get Charlton next round just to piss everyone off.

Not too shabby. Keeper looked dodgy as hell. Let's hope we don't have to see him too often.

Banana skin averted, on to next round hopefully a kind draw and its been a good warm up for the more important return to the Premier league.

Good game and result I thought. Especially considering they would be a good bit sharper than us. They had a few chances but that was mostly self inflicted. We played well and created some very decent stuff. Two very good but different goals. Rashford's was just amazing.

Only downside was Dubravka's performance. He was shocking. Done nothing to put any sort of pressure on De Gea for his place anyway.

Loved having football back after skipping it over the WC, this wasn't really great at all. But a win

Wan Bissaka looks like he’s been working on his attacking game during his absence from the 1st team.

Dubravka misread a cross in first half and had a dilly-dally accident too. But it's nothing we haven't seen frequently from our unopposed first choice goalkeeper in the last 10+ years.

McTominay was the biggest worry for me. This was a Championship opponent in the Mickey Mouse cup and he was bottlenecking. Hard.

Thank god we have some individual class in the team.
