The same crowds who hung on his every move prior, he really fecked up

Haven't ever seen a player single handedly light their twilight and part of their legacy on fire and piss away so much built up goodwill the way he did in the last half of this year...

The fact all of it was done only to end up with zero offers around Europe and having to go to fecking Saudi Arabia as a result makes it one of the stupidest decisions ever from such a high profile athlete.
This is the best part of it.

At 21:00 PM today, there seems to be another Piers Morgan Ronaldo interview incoming... :nervous:

Sorry guys, it's just the old one. Don't know why it's been recycled and made available again at a certain time.

I can't seem him doing another Piers Morgan style interview until he puts some real distance between himself and his abysmal performance at the world cup. It was easier to blame everyone else when it all went to shit at United, but for it to happen again at Portugal immediately after probably makes it obvious even to himself that he is the problem. Common denominator and all that.

I know he's 37 but considering all that has happened this season: The rejections, the interview, the poor performances, Messi winning the wc... Is there a more anticlimactic ending

Washed.

Which is understandable given his age. But hilarious given his sense of entitlement right up to a few weeks ago.

Seriously, what was the point of all the fuss and meltdown if the only other option for him was Saudi fecking Arabia??

Makes the interview look even more bizarre. From a legacy point of view, him being a bit part player at United is a lot better than fading into obscurity in Saudi fecking Arabia.

All while his sacred CL records will be under seige by his greatest rival, over the next 2 years, who's just coming off the one trophy he could never win...

Must've surely been what he had in mind when he decided to go nuclear to force his way out of his formative club

I think there's a good chance the interview was about the money, he wanted more and now he's getting an obscene amount of it.

Hopefully Messi will be scoring a few more in the CL while Ronaldo sets the Saudi league afire :)

He’s made himself look like a right muppet hasn’t he.

Going on Piers Morgan and complaining about United before joining this lot.

I doubt it. Piers even mentioned to him that if it was about the money, he would have been in Saud Arabia now. He does claim in the interview that he sees himself playing at the highest level for at least 2 more years. I mean if it was all about the money, why would he make himself look so stupid?

How the mighty have fallen...

Hope the money can wipe away the tears when Messi brings that first CL title in P$G's history before his contract is up in 2024

Who even gets to watch him in the league he will be playing in? After 3 games the novelty will be over and nobody will care

5th December

Was clear this was going to happen for some time as no European club was interested since the summer (and even then it was probably only few clubs, not one matching his wage demands though), he was just deluded thinking he'll smash it on World Cup and play CL again. Everything happened different and we knew it most probably would because he's been woeful this season and shown disrespect to everyone at the club as well.

Ronaldo still going strong even at his age, shows what a model pro he is. Joining the biggest club in Asia seemed like a natural step up from Manchester United to be fair.
