Is Rashford better than the likes of Saint Maximin?

Scores a goal and that means I'm wrong? Everything I said about him was true and was agreed upon by many last year. Just because I'm not a kneejerk clown, doesn't make it wrong.
Another terrible post, a completely ridiculous outlook on one of our star players.

But your criticism of him during run of poor form is knee jerk, no?

Rashford is and will always be better than these types of players. Just solely down to the fact that he produces top quality numbers. Having the innate ability to put up high level G/A’s just can’t be taught (well I mean it obviously kinda can but you either have it or you don’t, is what I’m trying to say). Maximin has never scored more than 6 goals in a season. I’d be extremely surprised if he gets a single season where he gets 10+.
Shameless quote on my own post — but yeah, this. Even at his lowest level Rashford still manages to do what you want your winger to do: score or assist a goal. Right now he’s got 11 goals and 4 assists in 22 appearances (minutes are equivalent to 18 full matches). That’s a goal or assist every 109~ minutes or so.

The Saint Maximins of the world will just never get that sort of production to their game naturally. The sample size for him is too small, but he has 1 goal this season.

Contradicting statements. You started this thread on the back of one poor season due to many reasons and you don't consider yourself knee-jerk?

Get a grip , mate. Opinions and all - but be ready to take things back when you are proved wrong. Car crash of a post and thread!

I wonder if the guys who are hailing him as the new messiah now that he's scored 6 goals were as positive when he was shite for near over a year, if so than fair enough but don't pretend that he wasn't utter garbage for an insane long period.

Ten Hag seems to have been able to give him a kick up his arse in terms of motivation which highlights his managerial skills. We will have to see where Rashford stands at the end of the season but perhaps someone like Ten Hag is what he needed all along?

Nobody is hailing him as anything. Bang up fecking post mate. Some people are reasonable and realise he was in bad form for a few valid reasons. Also during this bad form he still contributed.

Comparing him to a one trick pony speed demon is just nonsense.

I don't think he is new messiah or worse than fecking ASM. He is a very good player, who has been very good for us for a long time. But had a bad year last year. Now he is finding his form again.

I mean as a comparison my view on Sancho is similar. Great talent, out of sorts, hopefully will find his form similar to Rashford.

I have not yet given up on Jadon. Truly hope he succeeds here.

He's a good player but sulked for a whole year including not trying on several occasions.

I'm happy for him and he's been playing great but he still has a lot of making up to do for me.

He's not your bird. He doesn't have to make up nothing. Jesus

He's really talented and if he wants to be up there with Rooney and Ronaldo or Giggs he can never so what he did last year again. It was appalling. I don't care what kind of shit team he played in he disgraced himself with that half assed nonsense.

Yes he does have to make up for last year.

And yet during that year he scored as many goals as Saint Maximin has in his best Premier League season. This thread was fecking stupid when it started and hasn’t changed.

Scoring more than twice as many goals in all comps for United than any other player this season makes you wrong. Having the second highest number of assists for United this season makes you wrong.
Having the most goal contributions with 15, while Eriksen has the second most with 9 and Tony M has the third most with 7 meaning that our next 2 best goal contributors only beat Rashford by 1 contribution makes you wrong. The fact that you need to add up our next 3 goal scores to amass the 11 goals he has scored for us makes you wrong.

We still have many problems with our squad this season Rashford's contribution to our season is not one of them.

The fact that you hate a player who lives and breaths Man United makes you wrong. I honestly can not understand how anybody who has any love for United dose not love this man.

Speaking of clowns....
I know but all last year the right wing papers were toxic towards Rashford because he dared take on their Messiah. This meant that hundreds of thousands of people revelled in his poor return to form after his operation saying that he should stay out of politics and concentrate on football. Personally if he never scored another goal for us his highlighting of the problems that children faced made him a bigger hero than winning the champions League for us could have ever done.

It was truly a great thing to do by him. It's a shame more celebs do not join in.

No doubt this crap will come back again if he goes off form. These past 6 months from Rashford are better that anything saint maximin has done in a full season.

Now that we are constantly spoilt by brilliant, match winning trash ford - on this night of all nights, let's spare a thought for poor, lonely, Rashford. I'll have a drink for you tonight buddy. Hope you're good.

Edit: Damn autocorrect!

When Rashford was subbed in today, the commentators (bt) spent a lot of time talking about why Rashford didn’t start, a little about the WC, and very little else (ability to change the game? Strengths? Weaknesses? Not mentioned.) Then Traoré came on… haha, they spent a lot of time talking about how he, on his day, could change a game. We all know what happened, and statistically, that would be the safer bet.

How do we expect others to rate our players fairly if our own fans won’t?

Exactly this. He was way too readily underrated by a large part of sections of the fanbase. You'd think it was a fluke his multiple good to great seasons prior to last year. Like people were hoping that when he came back that he'd save our season last season. He'd been that good for us.
