Forgot Haaland was even playing before he threw himself on the floor in the hope of getting a penalty.

The mental strength to dig out of going down to 0-1 to the PL champion is remarkable. Fantastic management by ETH to make the changes at halftime to remove a player who wasn’t up for it.
That is the biggest difference. Mental toughness and belief

To be fair we had a 25-minute period (maybe a little more) when we wouldn't have been able to complain if we'd lost. But we were good in the first half and kept them to one shot on target throughout and we probably should have been ahead before half time.

To be honest, we are still a long way behind City both in quality and squad strength but a win is a win and it was nice to see VAR working properly (although it seems the ref overruled the linesman for Bruno's goal without VAR).

Some great performances particularly in defence and defensive midfield, and Garnacho made a huge difference. He must start against City with Weghorst too - he might worry the Arsenal CBs. Martial won't

6 points off the lead with a GD of 8  god am I enjoying this season
Can be explained with having two of the best CBs in the world (+ Shaw), and shielded by one of the best DM in the last decade. Also DDG has been a monster.

I'm gonna give a shout out for the Stuart Atwell, that is one one of the best refereed games I've seen in a long time.

The "offside" - controversial, yes, but under the current rules, was the correct decision.

We always ridicule the officials so let's have some praise for once

Shame City had some players missing. Haaland, Silva, Foden would have made a big difference.......oh wait

It's true. We weren't really firing up front at the start but the forwards are starting to come together with more goals

Half way through the season, a point behind City, ten points above Liverpool, thirteen points above Chelsea.

Arsenal having a freak season but we're doing so well this season and a lot of thanks to the manager!
So pleased!

re: the linesman - I think the linesman told him that he'd cocked up, VAR looked at it as they look at all goals

That’s my understanding too. Although I wonder if Rashford deliberately left it (for Bruno) knowing he was offside? If so, that is some world class decision making on the fly.
Also city player's fault for switching off and letting bruno charge through the middle of them and score. Play to the whistle boys!

So fecking funny

Just a resurgence of Rashford. Other than him, probably Garnacho's incredible debut season. Yeah, we need more goals.

They're going to spend big in the summer, you just know it. We really need new owners to stop that from happening or at least compete in the market
I think he'll take a sabbatical if they don't win either the league or the cl.

I may be overthinking things but he seems spent to me, their team will also need an rebuild and I don't think he'll stay around for that.

Deserved the win. City had one shot and scored from it, they also had a lot of possession in the second half but in the first they didn't turn up and United could have had two if not for poor finishing. United got a lucky decision for the equaliser and City lost their heads.
Regardless of the result , it was a good performance. First half created better chances on quick transitions but City dominated possession.

Started 2nd half poorly but then did a bit of a smash and grab.

City created very little.

Defensively we have become formidable and we always create chances.

A title challenge isn't unrealistic in my opinion
Overall the better side, should have been ahead at half time, Rashford missed two big chances. City came out and dominated the second half for half an hour, but a few changes from ETH turned the game.

Defended brilliantly, City had one attempt on target. Fully deserved win for United, not one of those smash and grabs we've had in previous meetings.
Cheers and good to hear. Saw the Bruno goal and we got away with that one but glad it sounded like a good performance.

Worth watching the full match or MOTD will do?

Back four all outstanding as was Fred, Garnacho changed it when he came in. What a win, couldn't see it when we were losing.

What a result! Fecking hyped after it. Two goals in 4 minutes fairly late in the game to win, there's nothing like it.

Obviously I had my heart in my mouth for the Fernandes one because of the potential offside so it was huge relief she was it was given. I didn't even celebrate it first time because I assumed Rashford had touched it.

Garnacho off the bench again to make an impact. This kid is insane, feels like he was a goal involvement every time he plays. Delighted for Rashford to get the winner. What a feeling that is, and especially after he, and certainly I, didn't think we'd see him again second half.

Lots of credit due out there. Obviously we had to survive a lot of pressure but I thought our entire back line did well, especially Varane but shout out to Wan Bissaka who continues a very impressive comeback.

Didn't he just sign an extension to 2025? I doubt he's going anywhere until then. They're going to throw the kitchen sink at transfers this summer because the one's they've made recently are massive flops. The thing is with a City rebuild, it takes 10 minutes because they can just feck off the shite at cost and throw massive money around.
