Kane is obviously very good, but the fact he’s the only one who you feel the need to defend says it all! The rest are just not exciting or even close to his level.
I don't know enough about the others

Such an underwhelming list  I miss when football was littered with brilliant strikers.
Underwhelming because there’s 5 instead of 10?

They’re all pretty good. I don’t see one underwhelming name.

All are better than what we have in Martial with the exception of Sesko. But Sesko is still young so I would take him as well above Martial. Beggars can't be choosers and all that.

I mean yeah obviously, Martial isn’t anything special at all. Sesko could very easily go either way, the least convincing of the bunch.

Exactly that I'd say, they're hard to come by nowadays.

Look at the options of top quality strikers in the 98-99 season, we had four alone that would walk into our team today.

I know. Someone made a good point the other day can’t remember who. But this is likely to continue with formations now only having 1 striker instead of 2 like back in the day.

I like this guy. Just seems pretty good at everything, really well rounded striker. And only 21.

His first touch, passing, hold up play, movement and instincts of where to be and when are brilliant, especially for a 21 year old.

He'd be perfect in a ten Hag system, he's my pick of a striker to buy this summer and would be cheaper than Osimhen, which would allow a greater spread and scope for other signings.

How many times did he lay it back from where it came?!

Nothing to complain about as it's a solid pass back but just found it funny as he didn't turn with the ball once (?).

He gives me the impression of a non-injury prone Louis Saha.

Agree with the poster earlier that he is definitely a better fit than Osimhen.

He would allow us scope for other signings but is he capable of being a 20-25 goal a season striker

Martial is very similar, only people like Kane tend to receive and then turn and create. I don't think a striker really needs to be an outright creator (And for the record, I'm not suggesting you think this); the passes Ramos gave in that video tended to serve a purpose and he generally was able to find a man in space whilst under varying degrees of pressure. If we were to sign him, I think the above would be absolutely fine, it's sufficient hold-up play in my book. I often think I'd rather a well-rounded striker than one who excelled in some departments but struggled in others (Looking at his ex-Benfica striker partner.....).

I think the only thing he's missing is pace but then again, is Harry Kane particularly fast? Not saying Ramos will be as good as Kane but as long as he's not a total slowboat, the rest of his game looks very well-rounded.

Martial is the best of both worlds in that he can take a ball under pressure to pass it back and turn with the ball.

Other than that, don't disagree with the rest your post. It's why I'm looking forward to seeing how Weghorst plays because he just needs to do the same things in terms of hold up play (simple but effective lay offs) BUT also be more of a threat in the box (compared to Martial).

Very young and has a lot we can work with but its Benfica so you know they're going to ask for half of Portugal's GDP for him.

I dunno what you guys are expecting from him, but he certainly is not the player some of you are painting. He is a hardworking and determined forward, which his main assets are speed, balance, stamina and teamwork. He's not exceptionally gifted technically and will not solve those tight games by it's own.

Nice goal today.

Would rather go for him than Kane. With Levy we'll pay over the odds for a guy with 1 year left and it will be dragged out. Benfica will be easier and quicker to deal with

Nice double swoop of him and Enzo Fernandez

This. Remember how long the Betbatov saga dragged on for? It will be that all over again with Kane. I'd much prefer we secured all of our singings by early August so we give ourselves the best possible chance to start the season strongly.

Ramos will likely be just as expensive as Kane, so no thanks.

Good option.

You can't expect a proper centre forward of quality or potential to be cheap. It just isn't going to happen in this market so I don't have a problem paying a lot for an out and out down the middle striker.

The only way you're getting one cheap is speculating on someone who hasn't done much.

You are close to describing the striker most modern coaches dream of?
