Pretty pleased with United here. Need to survive the first 15 of the second half then we shall see. That said, United will find a lot of matches impossible to win if they continue to be shot shy. Happens so often away from home.

Better than expected but we look so open for them to score again.

Really poor goal to concede especially considering we were on a lead.

We’re 1-0 up and getting pressed - just go long to our 6 foot 6 striker and win the second ball. Passing it around the back and then conceding a corner which they score from - it’s our own undoing, which is what irks me.

Overall happy with the first half. When I saw the line-up i thought they'd absolutely wreck us. Martinez and Varane have been absolutely brilliant. They've controlled the tempo so well. Every time it looks like Arsenal are about to lift off they just slow the game down and quieten the crowd. Top performances from both of them.

We have a chance here but we need to be smarter. De Gea's pass to Wan Bissaka that lost us possession in the build up to their goal was brainless and his passing has been very nervous as usual. Wan Bissaka not being alive to his marker for the umpteenth time was also brainless. These are the things that need to be cut out.

Anyone saying he's played poorly today is just wanting to criticize where there is no basis for it
Yep. If they think this is a poor performance, then you suspect they won't ever get him at all.
It's like it's the mid 90s and they think he'll be a Kanchelskis.

Our fans are way too greedy tbh. Overall it's been a good half. About as well as we could have hoped for
some people genuinely think we should beat everybody 4-0 with entire domination no matter who or where we play  it’s so crazy

We can’t pass it out from the back without both Casemiro and dalot, but when we have gone long from de gea to wout he has had 3 or 4 players around him, if he can win 1 or 2 of those headers Rashford or Anthony would be through on goal

good game. Both teams would be disappointed with the goal conceded as it seemed to easy.

I have a bad feeling, our midweek game will catch up in the second half and expecting a arsenal winner in the last 5-10 mins.

Our only hope is that Ben white is on a yellow card and Rashford is bossing him.
We tend to finish games stronger than they do, I think. We'll have Fred's energy and Garnacho tearing down the left wing so reasons to be optimistic.

Considering how far ahead of us they are in their development - we’re not a million miles away. For as much as De Gea has been brilliant for us, we need a keeper who is better with their feet.
Another midfielder needed as McTominay has been anonymous.

Decent showings so far from Weghorst and Antony.

He's also been poor at it. Antony is a much mode efficient presser.
Makes sense because Antony comes from Ajax that was coached by ten Hag team and has more experience with pressing than Rashford. van Gaal, Mourinho and Ole didnt ask their players to press.... or atleast not in an effective way.

Shaw and Wan Bissaka are giving their wingers too much respect, I feel. Both are good enough to win the duels there.

Midfield is nonexistent but I expect that with Eriksen and McTominay

McTominay clearly forgotten that the tried and tested approach is to beat Arsenal down. We need something more physical in midfield.

Overall we are doing OK. We need to deal with Saka before he gets so deep into our box. And we need to be careful out the back. Going forward I think we look good, and dangerous.

They've changed the VAR its not gonna be as involved anymore. Think Howard Webb came out and said this.

This half has made me believe we are as good as Arsenal or Arsenal are not as good as people are making out. We've been neck and neck with them.
We were all thinking that it couldn't possibly get worse with VAR but Howard has surely found a way.

AWB has improved a lot but there's still no better duo than AWB and falling asleep for a backpost header.
Yep, it’s plagued AWB his entire career. You would think at some point it would kick in to pay attention to it.

Antony having a good game so far. And stop playing out from the back we've no protection if it goes wrong. Play this game smarter go long up to Weghorst he will win most balls, dine it a few times and had decent possession further up the pitch out of it.

45 mins flew by there , Rashford gets another chance he's scoring, need to play clever here win fouls slow it down.

Been quite even but we will tire in the second half i feel.

Best bet is to score in the 85th minute and then hang on, assuming arsenal dont get a second before that.

Better right back, centre mid and a shiny number 9 in the summer and we’re challenging imo.

As expected we’re overrun in the midfield with Eriksen and Bruno being so lightweight and non-aggressive. I’m genuinely baffled by ETH not playing Fred in this game.

It’s funny that without Casemiro we’re drawing at the break. The guy they always says the best DM in the league got nutmegged by rashford and we score.

Good game, we've done fairly well overall.
That Wan Bissaka one looked every inch a penalty on the one look we got at it. Of course they don't show a single fecking replay, but it'd be being analysed like the Zapruder film if it happens in the other box.

It's possible it wasn't that good of a shout as our appeals were pretty half-arsed, but it'd be nice to at least see it.
It was certainly worth another look, hoping there's a replay at half time although I guess it doesn't matter now

Overall, I'm happy because we just ain't getting beat anymore (it's only HT, granted) but that can only bode well for the future.

Pretty good 1st half. Was always going to be difficult in the centre without Casemiro. Could see the game going either way.

Think the plan for the 2nd half will be to put Fred on and ramp up the press. Think we will get a pen in the end, we've had a couple of calls already.
