We’ll see. Good thing he’s linked to more teams then.
He’s probably worth £20m.

Chelsea will be desperate to drum up interest I imagine as your squad is so bloated.

As per summer getting someone to pick up his wages will be the issue.

He’s a good player with a good reputation around Europe. Teams will be interested. £20m is a good fee for him. Also doubt his wages will be an issue.

Linked to Everton for £25m according to Skysports.
I hope not. I think he’s a great player but not sure he is what we need and the price is wild. I think Gordon will go for c. 30-40m meaning we can probably bring in 2 or 3 if we can but Ziyech for that price seems madness.

His wage and fee were the issue for Ajax in the summer from memory? It’s why a deal couldn’t get done. He was desperate to leave, along with Pulisic.

A deadline day move that was rushed, and that was Ajax. Everton have about 7 players who earn what Ziyech earns or more.

I think £25m a pretty fair price but understand it may seem sensible for you to spend that much on Ziyech. I also think he might want to be at a higher level than Everton currently, no disrespect intended ;)

Everton won’t be buying him
So you keep saying. They may well not. I doubt he wants to go there if they were interested in him. After the WC and his current decent form, he’ll have enough suitors.

If Hakim joins United you will become my official second team. Ziyech was/is my man crush during his Ajax years.

Prem wages and Eredivisie wages are night and day difference. A few years ago Ajax (wealthiest club in the league) had a 1 mil EUR a year salary max.

He’d be better suited to Serie A like Mkhitaryan in my opinion.

You have lots of players to sell so if you can get rid of some January it will certainly help.

That's long gone though. We now pay 4 to 5 million for our top players. The biggest problem for Hakim was returning on a loan. He only wanted to be sold. On a loan we could have matched his salary but with a 25 million price tag plus high salary for a player without resell value that is just too much for Ajax.

It is fair for his quality but it would be another mistake. Nothing about it makes sense. Risk of relegation = spend 25m on a 29 year old who would be on another big contract which is what led us to this mess in the first place? Plus a CL proven player who can still play at that level dropping to a club at risk of relegation?

Roma want him, an actual purchase, not a loan and he wants to go. Nothing about the price Roma are discussing.

I want him in Serie A. We have poor finishers… but Ziyech puts an absolute stunning pass right on the toe of a free attacker at least 2 to 3 times a game.

Having him put in passes that a team like Newcastle scored would annoy me.

He ain’t going nowhere for £17m so don’t worry.

I just don’t think this league suits him. The end to end, fast paced style doesn’t lend itself well to what he’s best at. I still really like him and know there’s a great player in there but he just isn’t the sort of winger we currently need at Chelsea.

Still has an unbelievable left foot and his delivery is top notch. But if you watch him often he’s very much a stationary sort of player. He struggles a lot getting the ball and dribbling past defenders. He’s not direct and aggressive. Feels like I’ve watched him get the ball and simply run slowly into a fullback giving the ball away.

This is why we’ve just bought Mudryk & Madueke. Wingers who are extremely direct and athletic. Think Serie A would suit him like a glove and Milan would be perfect.

Were not already with Ten Haag, Martinez, van de Beek and Antony??
Got to be honest with you that I always had a soft spot for Arsenal because my two childhood heroes Overmars and Bergkamp played for them but yes at this point I like to watch United a lot.

£17 million for a player with champions league and international experience, in this market, is a very good deal. But given how useless and unmotivated he is a lot of the time for Chelsea I’d snap anyone’s hand off for £14m. Serie A would suit him but those teams are historically tight fisted, had enough of their perpetual “loan with a option to buy” deals that they never end up paying for.

2nd time he was hard done by them on on the transfer window.

He was expected to return back to Ajax over the summer until Chelsea played hardball over a player who's not in their plans.

Now they mess up his loan away in search of playing time after it was all but wrapped up, PSG had already done all the media/promo and medicals surrounding the mood by this morning.

Angering PSG hasn't worked out well for other big clubs in the past...

Chelsea torpedoed this on purpose?
Think its more a matter of being wholly unprofessional and inexperienced than anything.

Just look at the way they've behaved in the market. I'm sure they're not building a great reputation around Europe under current management.

What? Ajax didn’t want him permanently and also didn’t want to cover all of his wages. The deal fell through because they wanted the player on loan on their own terms. Hardly Chelsea’s fault Ajax didn’t want Ziyech badly enough. This one definitely sounds like Chelsea sent every fecker to Portugal and left the club shop workers to deal with Ziyech and PSG. Feel bad for him.

Chelsea probably only has buying documents, trying over and over again to submit the sheet to PSG, not realising they needed to send over loan documents.

At least Chelsea have enough players to play 22 v 22 at training tomorrow.

 feel sorry for Ziyech,. but I feel so much better that it's other teams that show incompetence instead of United.
Ye it makes a change. Sabitzer was probably the quickest and smoothest transfer we’ve made for years. That’s how it should always be.

I thought Chelsea would be happy to let him go..
Surely they didnt sabotage it intentionally..

Its also on PSG a little for taking it to deadline day.. he wouldve been available all window.
