Again there's no indication that it was due to fatigue. So it's something beyond anyone's control but Andy Carrot the big dumb idiot talentless yeehaw donkey.
If he was rested against Reading, there's no guarantee he won't get injured in any other game due to another player tackling him. Basically we need depth. Relying on Eriksen for a full season was never realistic. Next season we need to start the season expecting him to get injured at some point aka MORE DEPTH.

Yes. I agree Ten Hag should have rested him because he's played a lot, at least sub him after the first half.
But my point still stands, you go into a match knowing one of the players can get injured (or more if you're unlucky) and it can be anyone. It's basically a random chance that you can't plan ahead.
Regretting it is kinda pointless, it's like saying "if only I bought the lottery ticket a bit earlier I could have won it". You can't be deterministic towards something that is random.

The Nottingham Forest tie where we have a three goal lead. Injuries happen, it's an unfortunate reality of the game. We were never challenging for a title with this squad. The gaffer needs time to build depth in the squad and that cannot happen in just one window. I think the plan all along was to get him off at the 60 min mark and then save his legs in that next tie.
