I do t get your point?
Them passing the fit and proper test is not relevant to their subsequent decisions at the club making, so I'm not sure why you asked how they passed the fit and proper test?

I mean ethically I'm agreement. A state should never pass the test. But from a monetary standpoint they passed the financial requirements. Its more the shady dealings and sponsorships that have brought them down.

No, I’m saying how would they still pass it?
It’s reviewed every year

The test is applied to prospective owners and directors, who are then subject to a review on a seasonal basis.”

If they still pass it then it may as well be scrapped

This prick, talking about walking if City have cheated. Where did he think City were getting a billion quid from for fullbacks? Did he think that was just an organic thing that happened because his bald head graced the doorway? The dickheads been a cheating prick all his life, ban him along with all the board.

Ah my bad, I didn't know it was something that's evaluated annually.

shame that he's losing the plot......Haaland is scoring but City are playing worse football

Haaland in this United team would have been really good

If City are held to anything it could take a while so he could be out of contract by then or due to leave anyway.

Na, what player will join if this is dragged out? They already have half of their team looking unhappy and will look to get out.
His hands will be tied and not being the power house in the league alone will see him go.

Covering his ass but he knows who is financing City. A bunch of corrupt, murderous psychos.

Aren't similar kind of people maybe about to take over United in few months? I'm only guessing as I only know those are from Middle East as well, and nothing else.

Qatar, UAE and Saudi-Arabia are all murderous regimes. I sure hope we will have nothing to do with them.

We have heard rumours about City paying their managers off book for a while not.

If Pep has ever been paid off the books, he surely would have known that there is something fishy.

I dont buy this from Pep, he knows what they are and is trying to protect himself. Deserves anything that might come his way too.

Obliviously nothing will come his way. But it is amusing to now see him try to preserve his image.

Depends how much is made of it. Plenty joined during the Uefa thing, it was all clear to anyone who looked at it and they only got off due to time running out. This could be news today and then forgotten about largely like the Uefa case for a few years until the decision is made which could be a fine and some arbitrary punishment.

You'd expect City and the lawyers to be making themselves out as holier than thou to Pep and anyone else so by the time any decision is made Pep could be due to leave or out of contract with him convinced it's all above board in the meantime.

Like you say, it's looking a bit unhappy at City. Pep did say he was wanting to move on not that long ago, didn't want to keep doing the same thing but then signs an extension. Personally it seems he's ready to leave but wants the CL and gets paid.

I don’t think Lawyers have much to do with this. I’m not sure a court of law is involved?

Lots of lawyers are involved.

They got away with it before, but will they now?
That’s because it went to CAS right? That’s not an option now?
Isn’t it all down to an Independent panel and not a court room?

They did buy his brother a football club. Nothing to do with Pep though.

Doesn‘t matter, lawyers are still representing them. They pribably hired an army of them.

It's been clear for years how much he hates being associated with buying success. He's constantly wound up by any hint of it. He went there because he thought he could buy his way to a CL and even if you think he's been a great manager, it's impossible to separate him from the ugly reality of city as a football club, where he has spent far more time than he did at Barca. And now, fairly or not, when he's remembered, among his triumphs, he'll be the manager in charge while their cheating has been brought firmly to light and it will always be a cloud on his name. That's the risk he took when he sold his soul to his Abu Dhabi paylords. He somehow hasn't managed a CL with them yet but will surely stumble on one soon and it should come with the same asterisk as the Decade of Cheating gets.

He did fail again and again, why should he suddenly win a CL while City is in turmoil this season?

Cup competitions are different. If you keep spending hundreds of millions you're bound to eventually hit a season where a bit of luck, injuries to others sides etc, falls your way. Because of the market city have created, the top european teams aren't the forces they once were either. It's a real surprise he hasn't managed to win it by now. Real's fantastic spell aside, there hasn't been a single consistently good top team in Europe and even this year it's hard to pick out a side who you'd expect to beat city over two legs.

Spurs! No but seriously its a shame PSG and Bayern face eachother, since they both have the ability to do so. But Pep will find a way to bottle it by implementing a strange never before used tactic.
