Anyone actually wanting ETH to be sacked deserve to be banned.

Grim reading. We have broken 90 years record today. Astonishing

He got it wrong today and the players didn't help either. But every United team has these games at Anfield and he has credit in the bank, so he deserves our support. Needs to pick himself and the team up and make sure we never sink this low ever again.

I would say is he has to stop with the Weghorst being a guaranteed starter. He offers nothing. I’d also drop Bruno for a few games with the way he was in the second half. He certainly was not a good example as a captain. Shaw also had a shocker.

Would not mind being knocked out of all cups just to make sure we have enough energy to finish top 3

I fear this could have a huge impact on him and us for months ahead. Hope to be wrong of course, but it can take time this.

Would have thought the biggest test was winning a trophy, which we haven't done for years.
Anfield was always a big one. Even Ferguson got jittery about this game. The result is now a test in itself, but the guy has seen this sort of performance before and sorted it.

Today was a reality check for the level we want to get to. Liverpool have been doing this to teams for years while most of our wins are still close fought.

Some of our recent displays, particularly in first halfs we've been 'getting away with it' at the back and today it unravelled in spectacular fashion.

He won't be sacked, and of course he shouldn't be sacked, but you CANNOT be losing 7 nil to Liverpool no matter how knackered you are.

It's not even up for a discussion. I am so furious.

Impossible to do that with the current set of players
Why? I see teams like Brighton play better possession with lesser players. A manager who wants control doesn’t play with players all over the pitch. Weghorst at 10? Bruno on the left? He plays with a double pivot. I’m concerned about this part of our play.

Pep got twatted 4-0 by Everton in his first season in March.

It hurts losing to our biggest rivals like this, but this is parts and parcels of growing a team who wants to compete on equal footing with the big dogs. You have to push your players limits and find out how much they can take, then weed out the weak and replace them with quality.

And we’ve been treading waters for weeks now. The schedule has taken its toll and we could’ve easily lost to Leicester and West Ham at home, the cup final and tie against Barca were emotionally and physically draining, we were due a loss, it just happens that it’s a massive one against this lot.

57m on Lisando Martinez, 90m on Antony, and 70m on Casemiro. Meanwhile Ole got 2nd with McFred in midfield. Has Ten Hag actually been doing a great job, or have we been just getting carried by Casemiro?

Ole is bound to be smiling today. This performance makes his 5-0 humbling look like a close game. We need a picture of him giving the thumbs up.

Regardless of the good work he's done, that's three drubbings on his CV now. Not a good look for an elite manager.

The overall metrics don’t look great for us. I’m looking for a lot of improvement going forward.

Exactly, but first time at Anfield. Liverpool are on a run of form, but it should never be like this. Haven't seen Shaw play this badly.

Weghorst at 10 played away to Barcelona.

This is the reality check we needed before the last push this season.

You get too comfortable, this is what happens.

(Our ridiculous fixture list hasn't helped either)
I did think the players looked mentally shot throughout the game. The closing down/tenacity/urgency just wasn't there and it never came. Fred showed it the most in the first half (he was the only player I thought looked up for it) and then it just rapidly dissipated when the goals came in.

We lost the game in our heads first and then the legs followed. All teams have a bad day at some point, but this was a terrible, terrible day. Even if you lose a game, there's an acceptable way to lose. Even losing this 1 or 2 or even 3-nil is vaguely acceptable, but to keep making bad mistakes consecutively and to keep allowing them to find gaps the way they did is just not on. It is most definitely the reality check we needed.

The bit that disappoints me is the lack of fight that we showed. We were really soulless today and had no spirit. It's a huge blemish on what has been an overall positive season.

Ten Hag isn’t a possession manager. Let’s not go overboard

Some crybabies here are sickening! You did it to Ole, and then to ETH. Unbelievable! Fortunately, they are minorities here.

Let's see what we end up with. It's ETH's first season and we have started it terribly, needed some time to pick up form. We have been in a very good form since with some slumps along the way. People need to chill a bit. TOP 4 was always our realistic expectation in his first season and as of now we are well on track for that.
I am chill. I do not think it is the end of the world today, but I also do not think that ten Hag has been great for us (and have been saying so). We have been for most part a good organised team, but nothing spectacular. We are still completely unable to control games. And we are still getting trashed.

The table also does not lie. We are on course for a 75 point season, which usually gives you the fourth place, far away from the champions.

Also, he needs to start looking at players outside of Holland. Casemiro has been the only one that hasn't been Dutch or playing in Holland, and has been by far the best signing.

The pretend veneration of Ferguson when the same people would have been lining up calling for his head after every defeat, even after 27 years.

Painful, but fecking hell.

That's fine, maybe take it up with all the baby-brained idiots yelling about firing ETH after every loss.
I doubt that anybody really thinks that ETH needs to be fired. That is like wanting selling Case or Bruno after today.

As i said; every game is a performance of players AND a manager. Both can do well and both can do shit. For which they deserve praise or criticsm. For shitshow today they ALL deserve a stick.

Take out Casemiro and we wouldnn't be near the top 4, I don't think Ten Hag should be sacked but he isn't doing as well as everyone makes out, it's the quality in our team that's been getting results.

Just shaking my head at that and my sky sports feed which has gone out.

One of those days you just have to endure. I don't think it is representative of anything at all.

Qatar be looking at 4 nil to Brentford, 6-3 to City and 7-0 to Liverpool and getting Zidane on the phone. Sucks but they will be changing the manager.

That is because he is not elite manager, yet. He is still learning.
That would be okay if he was a rookie or a very young manager like arteta or nagelsmann. Not a good look for a 52 year old. Saying 52 yr old and learning doesn’t even sound right. Does it?

I'm sure the sack talk is not serious, but if we somehow miss out on top 4, then his position could become precarious.

And people thought he was so secure regardless of who takes us over. I could picture a couple of kneejerk sheikhs..

He’ll sort them out. We’ll be fine.
Could be even more than fine, with fighting for trophies which are not that far to win btw.

Perhaps Erik will have to prioritise, but there's too big of a chance of finishing season on a high note.
