7-0 means nothing to me. We lost and we move on. Liverpool will still finish below us.

Completely in shock, cant fathom what has gone on and how it ended up so poor. Cant believe how we folded, every aspect of our game was poor and weak.

Right you lot listen to those cnuts talking about us lifting the league cup etc etc, that load of shite just scored 6 goals in 45 mins against you. Embarrassment is not enough you should be feeling.
Just make sure you react to this on Thursdays and Sundays till end of season. How can you fold like cheap suits against fecking Henderson ffs .... listen to them take it in hear it and smash it down there throats by winning another trophy this season.

I honestly didn't think we'd ever see a worse set of results against Liverpool than last season. Now that the initial anger has passed, I'm just in a state where I can't believe what I just watched.

The first half wasn't great from us but we were competitive. Those two goals the other side of half time really did something to those players - all of them seemed to collectively lose their heads and the occasion got to them big time. I'm shocked we didn't do something to stop the bleeding at 3-0, or even 4-0.

Is your ego as a fan so fragile that you can't handle the banter? Don't get me wrong, of course this hurts, and it will sting a while, but I couldn't give a shit about the banter if we end the season with the EL or FA cup and finish second or third in the league.

I'm not denying that this will be a psychological burden on the team, but if they go back to winning ways immediately, that will be overcome quickly
It's not about ego, it's about people trying to pass this off as if it's just another loss.

This one will be talked about for decades. That's my point

If anything good comes out of this it should prove once and for all to the owners that NOW is the time for them to go, as clearly big investment is still needed on the pitch.

Rashford striker, weghorst #10 and bruno left. Why? Marcus has been on fire on the left side. Tactically wrong set up. Also the discussion around who is our best RB is still on. Defensively, awb is better.

everyone was terrible today, lost the battle in every aspect of the game. Reality check
Yeah wrong team selection/ tactics/ formation. Made worse by poor individual performances.

When your striker is a loan from a championship club who cant score for toffee, then its obvious you are gonna stuggle against elite clubs. Weghorst should never playvfor Utd again

Our players are fatigued but that's not an excuse for a top team, this will be a wake-up call for everyone at United. EtH will realize which players aren't good enough to play in his team and he is going to rip into the players which will push them to do a lot better than this also he will realize he can't play his best players so much. Our best players have played a lot and others are average players. Maybe the team needed a kick on the backside like this but 7-0 is truly embarrassing.

So we need to go out next time and do it to them

He wasn't on the pitch for 6 of the goals. :(

8 shots on target. 7 in the back of the net.

Calamitous game and I still can’t believe the players lost the plot the way they did. Especially having been so comfortable for large portions of the first half.

Could and should have taken the lead, but to concede six goals in the second half?! Never mind tactics, forget tiredness, that can only be excused by players completely and utterly losing their heads.

Surreal given how many strong personalities we had on the pitch. Martinez, Varane, Casemiro, Bruno, Rashford all blown away like a fart in the wind.
Freak stuff

Don't think thats correct. He started against Barca on the 23rd, again in the final on the 26th, then played 45 minutes against West Ham on the 1st and another 80 minutes today. So about 310 minutes in 11 days.

Also, I'm not the enemy
Apologies I thought it read games
Still, he has to play in the final, he has to play against Barca, we are losing 1-0 to West Ham so he has play otherwise we go out

and we want to be in the fa cup ?

Sorry about the rude tone earlier. Going through the motions a bit.

The jokes will stay forever, yeah. But the impact on the team doesn't have to and hopefully won't

Some critical decisions didn’t go our way because it’s Anfield. Fabinho should have at least been carded. Allison got lucky too. We were still rubbish tonight anyhow.

Freakish result. In the last 10minutes it looked like they could blow the ball into our net and if they somehow didn’t we would oblige them by twatting it in there instead.
ETH has to earn his corn now. Pick them up. Still plenty to play for this season. Learn from today.

Easy to have strong personality when things go well, apparently more difficult when the road is rough.

What really pisses me off is that players we were linked with(Gakpo/Nunez) and routinely ridiculed here are the ones who showed up and did the damage.

The ONLY way to make this right is to win 3 trophies this season and finish top 3. Then we can look back at this day, laugh, and know that it was just a freak one-in-a-million event. Liverpool can have the 7-0 if we can have the 3 trophies.

A never-nude? I thought he just liked cut-offs.
Absolute mindfeck. On the one hand, we were competing on even terms for most of the first half. It's clear as day that we were running on fumes after numerous high-pressure matches on the bounce with a thin squad. This group of players have shown significant mental mettle recently. ETH hasn't been dealt an easy hand yet he's played it superbly up to now. But that was just a historically awful capitulation. 7-0 just shouldn't be allowed to happen, under any circumstances.

Incredibly naive performance. We tried to go toe-to-toe with them for the entire match which was suicide. If we'd taken any of the chances we created before they scored it could have been different. But once it went to 2:0 then 3:0 so quickly in the second-half we should have gone into damage limitation mode.

You cannot try to outscore Liverpool in a situation like that at Anfield. We just kept pushing forward leaving acres of space behind. They will pick you off and destroy you, which they did. Pack the midfield, knuckle down and limit the damage so you don't end up on the end of a hiding.

Poor game management from Ten Hag today. He should have seen the writing on the wall early in the second-half and avoided a record breaking rout.

I will say though, crazy number of breaks went Liverpool's way today for some of those goals. One of those days really.

We've been due a bad defeat so let's hope we bounce back on Thursday. At least we don't have to wait long to get back on the pitch and put it right.
Strong element of truth to this analysis. The 3-0 was a result of committing too many players forward to try to get back in the game, and certainly at that point we had to go with damage limitation instead of getting horribly undone on the counter again for their fourth goal. After that heads were just gone and we defended like we were drunk. Thursday can't come soon enough.

Let them talk about it. We’ve been getting battered by our rivals for years now anyway. What matters is that we make progress and get top 4. Then finishing 5th and empty handed will make it even bettter. That’s a better outcome than avoiding a hammering and finishing 6th that’s for sure

Sorry but we didn’t lose 7-0 because Fabinho wasn’t carded. We were totally overrun.

I take 100% of the blame for this - posted in match thread couple days ago that I dreamt that we had some real Laurel and Hardy type defending to concede a goal to Carragher. Who knew it would be a forecast of SEVEN freaking goals to come.

It was a close game though and we have to call ourselves really unlucky and yes, the ref and VAR was to blame and all that.

Onwards and upwards to the Betis game, ETH needs to work his magic to help the players get the players to move on because Rashford looked like he was about to cry at one point.

Yeah, thats the only thing to takeaway… Fergie lost 6-1 at home to City and took them to the last day… if we react well, eh, it’s an eventually (hard) forgotten embarrassment…If it derails the rest of the season. Then we can be worried.
It makes the prospect of getting any points at anfield even harder anytime soon…the majority of these players will have to come back

Regardless of the poor tactics, poor performance, fatigue and bad luck, we seem to be a few players short of a sufficient squad.

That was brutal. Embarrassing. Humiliating ETH has to do something so this never happens again. You can always lose a game but not by 7 against your historic rival

It was coming, could've been 3 down against Leicester in the first 10 mins... Hopefully ETH gets some hard truths into the players and we pick up. More important games coming up...

That's rubbish. That was last game. We won that game.

Keane didn't like it because he saw Fergies face at the awards and got triggered again. :)
We played like shit in that very game. Thats his point. Forget the circus and focus on the game

Missed 2 golden opportunities then fell apart.

One of them goes in different game, Dalot is dreadful, AWB should be starting those games 100% of the time

Anfield away is always a write off. Any result here is a bonus. Last 6 years for Sir Alex here was 1 win (vs 10 men), 1 draw, 4 losses.
