Bloody hell, only now realised that even dull Newcastle have a much better goal difference than us and we have scored only two more goals than them in the league.

Losing by huge score lines does that to you.

7-0, 6-3, 4-0. That's the difference in GD. Totally unforgivable.

We don’t score nearly enough… we have the 7th attack of the league. Brentford and Brighton are outscoring us.
I know. I've said our attack needs improvement and got accused of hating Ten Hag. Dread to think where we'd be if Rashford hadn't improved so much.

To be fair you get accused of hating Ten Hag because you are unbelievably negative and critical of Ten Hag all the time

I'll accept my over reaction to the early season results but how anyone gets 'unbelievably' critical of Ten Hag 'all of the time' from recent posts just because I've said some elements of our play need improvement is beyond me. We're bang in a top 4 battle so it's not perfect is it? (yes we'd have taken this in August)

I don't think anybody is arguing it's perfect, just that he's done a really good job when you think of the utter shambles we were last season and how badly the season started.

We're on course to finish top 4 and win silverware in the same season for the first time since Fergie.

Plus you don't help your argument when you are silent after victories but the second we have a bad result you're the first in the ETH thread having a moan.

No one seems to expect us to be perfect other than you though ?

He has done a really good job but does that mean the areas we need to improve can't be discussed?

So he improved on his own, without ten hag's help or his coaches help is it?

Our attack needs improvement because ten hag was dumped with Ronaldo and then was not allowed to buy anyone instead relying on weghorst who can't seem to score.

But there's no denying that united's play had improved drastically from what it was under Jose and ole. He's not even a season old. He cannot fix everything under the sun right away.

Yeah, read my posts i've said it's mainly down to personnel.

Our defensive play has improved, attacking wise i would not say 'drastically' given we've scored less than last season in the league.

Isak has a very good goal-per-game ratio for Newcastle. Feel like he'll prove to be a very good signing for Newcastle from next season in particular.

It is not a Ten Hag issue. It is a squad issue. Compared to last season we lost Greenwood, Cavani and CR7… Only got Weghorst to replace them…

To be fair that makes sense when you consider we've played most of the season with a 38 year old up front and then replaced him with a guy who couldn't finish his dinner.

Good result. Not only a loss but breaks the home form of Forest.
I wouldn’t read to much into that in terms of home form. 1st loss at home since the WC against a potential top 4 side. It’s the injuries that are killing us though. Yates going off with his shoulder was a massive loss. We don’t have anyone else in midfield who does what he does in the box to box roll.

We have to get our league form back in order. Getting a bit tight now with Newcastle and Spurs picking up form.

It was our home form last season that kept us up. Yes, one win doesn't have to be the end of the world but when you've been unbeaten for so long as you have at your ground, one loss to break that can be a difference in shaking that feeling of 'invincibility' so to speak. You have pretty tough home game fixtures left too - United, Arsenal, Southampton, Wolves and Brighton.

We have to be really really careful. Spurs, Newcastle, Liverpool are out of all other competitions with full focus and rest on the top 4 race. While we play FA cup and UEL every week, miss key players and have limited to no options for proper rotation.

There's only one United!
How come we rarely, if ever , get 6 or more minutes of extra time when we're drawing or losing like other clubs do?

Fair! I have my moments. I think I’ve been broken by all the post Fergie false dawns. You do seem to be more glass half empty than most though.
I definitely have and yes I am. Doesn't always mean I'm wrong though.

Apparently we haven’t won at Stamford Bridge since 1994. :( I’d take a point today. We have a tough run, Spurs and United after this.

Want Everton to stay up, so fingers crossed you can get something from today at least.

Yeah I've been noticing this, we very much are a two goal team.

Create about forty openings a game, alas, very unclinical.
