Why is Simeone paid so much? He is a good coach but certainly not the best.

Xavi on 4m euros is incredible, probably getting paid more in Qatar and would easily command double in premier league so Barca really played the "local hero coming back to work for comparatively nothing" card well so much so they tried to pull that trick with likes of De Jong.

I think Potter is a better manager than he's shown at Chelsea tbh, albeit he is/was very overrated. His problems from his Brighton days, i.e. not being clinical and being sloppy at the back, are happening again.

He’ll see the season out. What a poor appointment he’s been though. Chelsea look clueless.

He’s doing fine. Just winning enough to stay in the job.

Potter Remains In Chelsea Kit.

The annoying thing is I actually thought we played well for most of the game and I actually see the progress from 6 weeks ago through to now but no one wants to hear ‘but we played well’ when we keep losing which I understand.

I was saying my friend that if Arsenal or City had this exact performance with these exact chances, they would have beaten Villa 4-2, instead we lost 2-0.

He is Atletico Madrid.

He turned the club around, essentially saved them, brought them to the top by winning trophies and getting to CL finals. And has kept them competitive the entire time. And has stuck it out and stayed there for a long time.

Down to power at the club, longevity and importance.

He’s basically their SAF.

This could be the beginning of Chelsea's wilderness years. You'd put money on Bohely to appoint Rodgers next because he liked the way he sold him Fofana.

It is not just luck though, is it? Potter had these exact same issues at Brighton over a very long period of time, and now he has them again at Chelsea.

There is something flawed about his attacking setup. It’s becoming too large a sample size to say it isn’t a flaw in his coaching.

He’ll be gone by the summer and they’ll be looking to replace him by either gazumping Spurs target, Nagelsmann or former Barcelona supremo Louis Enrique.

He deserves every penny. If ever a manager embodied the club and was the heart of a club, it’s him. His signing as manager was transformative both on the pitch and off of it (the clubs revenue has gone up 10x in the time he’s been there).

Maybe but at some point the players will have to take some responsibility too. If he coaches a team to create a couple of a sitters and we walk away with 0 goals, I’m not willing to entirely pin that on the manager. Them two Mudryk sitters, he just has to score.

I’m confused about some of Potter’s decisions. He isn’t blameless but he isn’t the first manager to struggle to get a tune out of the attack.

I liked him at Brighton but his team selections have been very odd. Not a good move for him Chelsea, was always a disaster waiting to happen.

Their squad is far far too big. Look at United this season vs last season for example of how having too many big name big ego players can poison the atmosphere. There’s no way to keep everyone happy. Aubameyang and Ziyech for example should have left in January for a start.

To be fair, he did try.

He’s a nice fella but way, way out his depth. Chelsea are having their Moyes moment. I hope he stays for another 3 years but unfortunately they will simply have to sack him by the end of this season.

I mean I’m not convinced by that given Potter is shown at Brighton and it features Lage, Gerrard, Lampard and Hodgson at Watford
Ugh. This is about ETH, did he get a new contract since he signed ? No ? Then he's probably around that and not on 3 or 5M. That was the point.
It's a graphic from the start of the season, of course it includes managers that have since been sacked.

I was never convinced about potter and Chelsea. When he was appointed, I had a little chuckle. I know they have had injuries but may the misfortune continue.
