leicester still have a chance with spurs being pretty much on vacation already.
Well they need Bournemouth to hold Everton too

i can see all 3 winning their last games which means Everton will be safe

Can someone else play for us against Bournemouth? I don’t trust that it’s in our hands if we go down or not ffs.

Point ultimately suits both teams.

But great, we got two home games. Win em both and cl and third is ours before the fa cup final :)

Guess that was a plan, defend their dear lifes whole game, and at the very end of the game attack and try to nick it. Almost did.
I think they could have maybe started attacking 10 mins earlier. Newcastle did look nervy in the little bit pressure that Leicester put for those 2-3 mins.

So - come final day:

Everton - need a win to be guaranteed safe, or to hope neither Leicester nor Leeds win

Leicester - need to win and hope Everton don't

Leeds - need to win and hope Everton lose* and Leicester don't win

*or draw and Leeds get an unlikely big win to overturn the GD

Real opportunity for us to get 3rd now. Or do we just grind out a point on Thursday and rest everyone Sunday
3rd doesn't matter. We get at least a draw against Chelsea and rest the whole team on Sunday.

Hope they get fecking embarrassed in it next season. Pot 4 and out their depth hopefully.

Also must be the shittest finale to a prem season in years. Nothing much going on now. Title race wrapped up with 3 games left, Top 4 done midweek, and the obvious Everton staying up.

agree.
Newcastle to finish 3rd in their CL group and end up in the Europa anyway.
EL final Newcastle - Liverpool.

Caf wants which team to win it?

With your home crowd against a team on their holidays you'll be fine...and it means we (hopefully) don't get Jordan Pickford on a relegation firesale :D

Kinda feel Leicester played a very risky game today. They really needed to win, even though that would have been a huge ask. A draw means it's still out of their hands I believe.

Would be shocking on Arsenal's part if we win the last 2 games and they lose on the last day, finishing only 6 pts in front of us.

To be fair I think the only way they win is the method they used.

Defend all game then the last 10 minutes open up a bit and try and nick it. Almost worked too.

Everton are terrible, they’re getting a draw at best. Home table only and they’re in the relegation zone.
I can see Leeds getting out of it sadly.

I can’t wait to see them absolutely demolished in the CL next season.

A precious point for Eddie Howe and his brave squad of underdogs.
The smirking cnut won't see Christmas when teams start to actually try against them next season and he gets his arse handed to him on CL.

Diving time wasting try hard cup bottling wankers.

Is there any CL seeding advantage of 3rd v 4th. Feel it just complicates Thursday a bit now, with us now thinking shall we even more go for the win to leapfrog Toon.
Nope there is none. Only champions earn pot 1 seeding, the rest is based on coefficients and we are comfortably guaranteed pot 2... The only suspense is whether Arsenal makes pot 2 or not (So far it seems they'll make it). Current seeding (with Milan getting 4th in Italy/ Arsenal would be down to pot 3 if it were either Roma or Juve in that position).

Disgraceful performance from Leicester. One of the most gutless performances I’ve seen given what was at stake.

Pathetic seeing all those fake signs being held up asking for players shirts. Already been on the news about some player shirts ending up on eBay in the last few days.

Weird bitterness aside, who's demolishing us? The best team in the competition plays in this country and had to claw back a 3-3 draw against us this season at SJP after we ran them ragged for an hour.

Not scared of any team in Europe, especially at home, and especially after a summer transfer window where we should add to an already pretty decent first team.

But, but, the narrative. The media are so invested in how this plucky young English manager has been able to transform the fortunes of Newcastle for a trifling transfer spend of just 185M Euro this season, this after he was insulted with a mere 101M Euro budget the previous winter to stave off relegation. How can you deny this heartwarming underdog story, starring Little Eddie, hometown boy Dan Burn and that fella that murdered Jamal Khashoggi? Have a heart.

So many kids around my seat at OT who bring those cardboard signs to games. When did young football fans start behaving like they're at a WWE event?!
