Meh, he's not that bad a player, not had a great season but then again Chelsea have been a shambles so difficult to really shine in that team.

£55m is a lot of money though, I'd take him should that figure be reduced by £15m or so,

There’s no chance ETH is interested in Mount - just agent nonsense to drive up demand.

Will stay at Chelsea guaranteed - just postering to get a bigger salary than what they’ve offered.

A very mediocre player in my opinion. I'm honestly not clear what anyone sees in him, but there's clearly something there given his career so far.

Really hope this isn’t true but I’ve said a few times that my only concern with ETH is his talent identification. He seems to love a workhorse.

I'd take him for 25-30m. But at 55m, we've got more important positions to fill.

We've been linked with Mount for a long time now, so I think it's clear ETH wants him. Why that is I'm not really sure. He is a talented player but I don't even know where we would want to play him and £55m is a huge chunk of our budget when we need to fix other positions in the squad. Are we intending to play him at cm I wonder?

He, Bruno and Casemiro in the same midfield basically means you give yourself over to playing in moments, rather than controlling the ball and the game. He has lots of qualities, but that wouldn’t be one of them.

I don't think he's nearly as shit as he's being made out to be but I do find this one a bit bizarre honestly. He doesn't appear to be the profile of midfielder I'd have thought we'd be targeting.

Well I trust Ten Hag but I’m sure there’s a similar player out there for half the price?
on the other hand it’s literally just the top 8 away games that’s stopped us from being up there with City so I can why Ten Hag wants a bit more work rate and legs through the middle of the pitch

But couldn’t he fit into a midfield that gets walked through in every big away game? Big CL night?
I don’t even know how many times our present midfield started together this season, 20 times at most? If he’s replacing Scott and Fred then sign him up imo

Hopefully this is not true, especially with that reported fee. A mediocre player.

Smells a bit like we're offloading Fred? Otherwise, I don't see this move solving any issues we have.
We'd be wise to and I would take him as an upgrade to Fred - the only issue being his wages he's being reported to be seeking. I'm not fully convinced we'd spend that on him, based on the players we're linked with.

Not what we need now, even if he is good or good enough, still not what we need, we need CM who can excel in ball possession, ball distribution and be a reliable partner to Cas in the double pivot, MM is not that.

I am also very upset about this Daily Mail article.

Perhaps ETH has followed him and been impressed since he played for Vitesse on loan in Holland.

Maybe a useful squad player that can also bring in about 10 goals per season and changes games tactically.

I've thought for ages we were. Old, contract expiring in 1 year and taking up a pretty decent wage. ETH stopped using him in 2nd half of season and that was quite telling to me

I think we can sell Fred for decent fee, in which case I think Mount would be ok-ish transfer. Otherwise I can't see us having both.

I like Mount but i think he is going. Although thinking we'll get £85m for him, or valuing him at that, is absolute hilarity. Someone is on glue

Fred has year on his contract just like Mount but isn't particularly good or young, we would be lucky to get anything beyond £10-12 m for him and unless we can get Mount for circa £30-35m we should steer clear .

Club name almost certainly bring used to force Arsenal or Liverpool into action. Let Liverpool gazump us to his signing like Gakpo.

He's great, I always liked him as a player. The dip in the form he had this season is because Chelsea are shite.

I don’t trust ETH with signings, so far his record has been rather poor. Hopefully it’s just a media fabrication as this is a joke. Mason hecking Mount.
