I'm with your sentiment, sit back & take it in. We seem to have a live one nibbling on the hook.Probably unconnected to the First Amendment lawsuit being brought by Penguin Random House. Probably.

Based and redpilled.Disney shares are down because DeSantis is owning the libs.
Bro, please read what the Dutch do for compulsory sexuality education since 2012. Classes begin to be given at age 4 (FOUR!), classes are adjusted to fit children's age and comprehension level, and the covered material include several topics (relationships, appropriate touching, and intimacy). Kids learn the proper names of different body parts by age 7. Gender stereotypes are discussed by age 8. And by the time they are 11, Dutch kids should be able to discuss reproduction, safer sex, and sexual abuse. But do 7 and 8 year children need books discussing and showing pictures of sexual positions in their library? Some of these books are borderline pornography. A lot of people, (not necessarily you, you seem like a pretty sharp person and I see a lot of your other views) are putting far too much faith in the honesty of the American media.
Don't think they can hear you.Bro, please read what the Dutch do for compulsory sexuality education since 2012. Breaking news: Dutch kids don't have their first time any earlier than other European kids because of that curriculum, but they have more positive experiences out of first times and yet have low rates of teen pregnancy. If you ask me, I would feel far more comfortable if kids are taught all of the topics and implications at an earlier age instead of being kept in the dark and thus put at risk of doing something reckless.
I openly curse the Christian right for their willingful ignorance and their actions at enforcing it.
I don't think that's it at all. No one on the left is boycotting and a many support the message. It's just that no one on the left is going to give up European beer and their IPA craft brews just because they support the message to drink piss water with low alcohol content.Bud light draft sales are down around 23% year over year and have been for almost a couple months now. Case sales are down around 25%. Anheuser Busch is now buying expired cases of beer back from retailers because they can't sell it. Industry experts are saying they've never seen anything like it. Disney stock is down from over $200 probably 18 months to 2 years ago, to around $90 now. They are losing subscribers left right and center and had to fire their CEO and bring in the previous guy out of retirement to try and right the ship. And he is cancelling major projects to make it happen.
These boycotts are actually successful because they are being supported by people on both sides. The right might be more vocal about it, but it's really only a small fraction of the left that actually supports the message being pushed by these companies that produced the backlash in the first place. The tide is turning. These Disney and Bud Light missteps will be a turning point, and we'll be talked about in the future discussions in the education world.
I googled it and still don’t get itThis thread is based. I’ve no idea what this means
Sadly the they’re out to get us angle is working universally. Even here in India but on religious grounds (Hindus are somehow marginalised despite being the dominant majority). I wish the right wing extemist wave would just feck off already.CRT, Woke, cancel culture etc. etc. are just terms made up by right wing dark money to sell to their base, because right now they have zero actual policies they're running on. All the new GOP members ran on being anti-woke, anti-crt and pro-guns/jesus/whatever. Absolutely non of it actual helps people. When Trump had republican majority in the Senate, Congress and WH, the only thing he got done was a tax break for the rich. The Democrats have some absolutely useless leaders, but at least there is a growing base that is looking to change this, be it M4A, taking money out of politics, etc. etc. The GOP has none of that.
Woke isn't a thing that would affect anyone that isn't selling themselves on social media, like comedians. Unfortunately they all for the 'theyre out to get us' angle, even though they can literally joke about anything they want, but any sort of consequences to things like Chris D'Lia grooming kids or Callen raping women, they just call it being cancelled.
Eh? Plenty of comics, big and small, think this whole "you can’t joke about anything these days" is idiotic. Bill Burr’s come out and said as much, for example.CRT, Woke, cancel culture etc. etc. are just terms made up by right wing dark money to sell to their base, because right now they have zero actual policies they're running on. It's an alt-right term used to describe a "sensible" view or person.I do not get what ‘based’ means. Help please.
Hmmm, I guess words are arbitrary, but it does not make sense. It's an alt-right term used to describe a "sensible" view or person.
I think.
Well, it comes from people that don't care about sense.Hmmm, I guess words are arbitrary, but it does not make sense.
True enough.Well, it comes from people that doesn't care about sense.
But do 7 and 8 year children need books discussing and showing pictures of sexual positions in their library? Some of these books are borderline pornography.
A question that will never be answered…Have you seen those books and the context of these pictures?
The attitude conveyed by one who's proud individualism is demonstrated by unashamedly holding the usual variety of generic right wing opinions. One that doesn't care if they are considered an asshole for staying true to what they believe in (as long as what they believe in is deplored by the left).I do not get what ‘based’ means. Help please.
I think it's originally 'based on yourself', which funnily enough is kind of a modern equivalent of UbermenschIt's an alt-right term used to describe a "sensible" view or person.
I think.
There is something in this.CRT, Woke, cancel culture etc. etc. are just terms made up by right wing dark money to sell to their base, because right now they have zero actual policies they're running on. What? You posted me the definition literally yesterday! This thread is based. I’ve no idea what this means
I still don't totally get it. Was called it the other day as a compliment (I think), but only hear it as word used by the right. The UD definition didn't clear up my confusion. What? You posted me the definition literally yesterday!
Such a based thing to do.I still don't totally get it. Was called it the other day as a compliment (I think), but only hear it as word used by the right. The UD definition didn't clear up my confusion.
I should have white texted that 'I have no idea if the thread is based or not.'
Such a based thing to do.
So I guess 'based' is good (in alt-right)?The attitude conveyed by one who's proud individualism is demonstrated by unashamedly holding the usual variety of generic right wing opinions. One that doesn't care if they are considered an asshole for staying true to what they believe in (as long as what they believe in is deplored by the left).
Looks like we need to pour one out for them. There was a live one here but I missed it and now he's gone. Which one of you scared him off?
I shouldn't have said "they all", but many in Rogans circle definitely do. The whole "We can't talk about that anymore" even though no one will say anything if its edgy but also funny. I listen to the MMP, and while ole freckles doesn't complain about cancel culture anywhere near as much as Rogan/Bert/etc., he does still have some bad takes on the subject here and there.Eh? Plenty of comics, big and small, think this whole "you can’t joke about anything these days" is idiotic. Bill Burr’s come out and said as much, for example.
Yeah. It's a compliment.So I guess 'based' is good (in alt-right)?
He's looking for proof that libraries are putting copies of the Kama Sutra in with Bob the Builder. There was a live one here but I missed it and now he's gone. Which one of you scared him off?
I think it's "cool" but for terminally online right wingers.I do not get what ‘based’ means. Help please.
Rogan’s cultivated a certain profile in who he surrounds himself with, but as an amateur comedian I hear very little of it here or on my travels. It’s also evident that you can still get away with a lot of stuff that the current media zeitgeist would tell you is beyond the pale. Most people live in the middle, not in these extremes.I shouldn't have said "they all", but many in Rogans circle definitely do. Despite the fact none of them truly seem to know what woke even means,
They drink Bud Light. Enough said.If that brain dead feck resonated with anyone they need locking up for their own safety.
Wait until there hear that gay people own guns and are members of the NRA?Of all the practices to target a major company over, imagine being the kind of person to pick support of LGBTQ rights as the one.
