Would have been a good option at RB. Very comfortable on the ball.

Should have got Trippier but honestly throw the kitchen sink at Gusto + a GK and a striker next summer.

Glazers will need to chuck another 200m in the market.

If they're still owners otherwise ol' Jim would have to throw money at it

Personally I feel like the glazers have to spend or therell be huge pressure from fans to sell.

I dont the fan base will allow for another manager not backed and more failure. Pressures on the owners

Don´t like him he is far to casual as a RB. Has a knack for a good goal though.

Nothing player coasting on a wonder goal he scored 4 years ago in a game where he arguably cost two others to his team. Can't even keep his spot in the French NT starting XI despite the competition there being one of the weakest in Europe (the alternatives being another displaced CB in Koundé and risky bets such as Clauss).

I’m not sure he’s even that good one the ball. He must be okay on it to play for Bayern, but in terms of bringing it forward, he’s very limited.

That's where he wants to play as well. No chance he'd come here to play RB/backup CB
I thought he looked good at Stuttgart, great on the ball, stepping out from the back and playing defence splitting passes. I'm not sure he'd cope with the physicality of this league too well but I still see that as his best position.

Spot on. Although there is Clauss who isn't bad at all at RB. I've never rated Pavard, his ego is ridiculous too

I always love these takes. Why would a 186cm defender (that starts for France and Bayern) not be able to handle the oh so physical Premiere League?

I'm 6' 3" and I wouldn't be able to handle it. Physical doesn't just mean how tall you are. I don't think he's particularly strong or particularly quick. I think the best centre backs in this league have athleticism that he doesn't quite have.

Also, this league is far more competitive than the league he plays in, so to be tested at his top physical level every game is something his body is probably not used to.

I think he's great technically but not so well equipped physically, and would require a more physical defensive partner for any team to flourish. Perhaps it's a bit strong to say he'd struggle, but I just don't think he'd excel.

Would of been a perfect signing if we sold Maguire. Gives us options for both RB and CB.

I assume you are not a professional football player...

If Pavard is good enough to play in one of the best teams on this planet, then he is good enough for the mightly Premiere League. He is not leaving Bayern for United anyways.

Obviously not, but you were arguing that physicality meant height, not me!

He doesn't play centre back though, so is he good enough for that position? Why are you so salty anyway? You must know that the Bundesliga doesn't compare in terms of competitiveness and physicality, surely?

How do people rate him? Can play both Cb and RB, where might he be off to?

If you could get him you should. He’s class. Would be a shame to lose him.

I read somewhere his preference is to play CB, has he been playing there for you? I think he'd be fantastic signing, but unsure what his preferred position is if we were to sign him.

Signing Pavard means getting a player who can play two positions the inverted right back and a centre back. He's comfortable to play progressive ball from the back. His preferred position won't matter because if we sell Maguire and one of our right back, he can cover both areas. We need to copy what City are doing, quality over quantity with players who can cover multiple positions.

I expect ETH would go for Timber if he wanted a RCB / RB hybrid.

Would prefer Timber for this exact role.

If it's a reasonable fee, I'd go for it.

Would be a huge upgrade on Dalot and AWB.

I think he's a good defender but I personally don't like him at RB. Would be fine with the signing if he's viewed predominantly as a CB that can cover at RB if needed.
